I would actually enjoy fighting a goose. I'd love to take out some anger on those annoying fuckers. I think what this comes down to is, is it like a hunger games fight where the loser is gonna die no matter what, or is this a fight just for funsies? Because that makes a difference. If I'm gonna die if I lose anyway, I for sure think I can take on a kangaroo and a king cobra. But I'm not gonna do that for shits and giggles.
Do you get to use any sort of weapon, like at least a large stick? Because that would even the playing field with a lot of these animals that come equipped with their own weapons.
I took that to mean that you could use whatever you find in your environment. If I can use a rock or stick, I’m for sure fighting an eagle (basically a vulture with good PR). If I can’t, yeah fuck that.
Why not get a water softener? We have one sitting in our basement. I fill it with salt once a month. Keeps the water clear.
Honestly it has been decision paralysis. There are several types of whole house water softeners, then picking a model. If we stay here I will be having one installed
It's not great for them. It's my experience that it's not terrible for them enough to kill them, but they absolutely will not flourish. My irrigation system for the grass and two exterior hose bibs, bypass the water softener system at my house.
We have really hard water at the house we just bought, 18 german units. For some reason my hair comes out fantastic once it dries, straight and stays in place without product. I wonder if the minerals are acting as cement.
Is hardened water that fucking bad? Your soap doesnt suds? Whatever type of asthma I have is super aggravated by the salt dust I breath in lugging those fucking bags to the basement. I lift 4 days a week and those salt bags knock me the fuck out. Worst fucking grown up chore I have that Im questioning why the fuck we do it all in the first place.
I keep looking at water conditioners which instead of removing the minerals, work by inhibiting the ability for scale to form and supposedly will also remove scale over time. Unfortunately, I find it difficult to find 3rd party unbiased information about their effectiveness.
They have these things called masks that you could wear while performing said activity. Pick up a small pack of n95 masks at Home Depots or Lowes. They could be used multiple times for something like that.
I rented a number of shitty houses/apartments that didnt have water softeners and didnt wind up dead. I guess I can give mask a try. Fuck it hurts lugging that shit in.
Or wash clothes, or run the dishwasher. Not to mention how it will leave toilet rings and eat up sink fixtures, depending on which minerals you've got.
The people in my neighborhood that have opted not to soften also have issues with hot water heaters. Hard water destroys appliances.
