Correa signs a 13 year deal for $350 million. He'll be 41 at the end of that deal. So, last year started late because the owners were complaining about money? And now they're handing out cash like payday at the strip club. lol
He was the proud mascot of the Astros’ cheating and the biggest piece of shit during its aftermath. The worst of all of them.
Can’t wait to see what asshat offer the Red Sox give Devers now. They’ll wring their hands and said “well, we tried,” but at this rate the kid’s gonna get 15 years and half a billion.
They probably won't even try. When Bloom took over in 2019 the Red Sox had Betts, Bogarts, Benintendi & Devers all in their prime. They had the chance to keep those three and chose not to. At this point management's making an active decision to suck, banking on the fact that they're the Red Sox and will make money no matter how much they shit on their fans.
It’s very annoying. I’m not a doomer, and I know they’ve got more rings in this century than anybody else, but…fuck. The goal is to be the Rays with more fans.
Red Sox extend Devers for 11 years, $331 million. All it took was booing John Henry at the NHL Winter Classic!
Trevor Story out for surgery, not back until the summer at the earliest. General Lee, we have no middle infield.
I am consistently amazed at how delusional sports fans are. NY Mets fans may be the most delusional in all of baseball. The Braves and pitcher Max Fried couldn't agree to contract terms, so they'll go to arbitration. (Max will end up with roughly 13 million in 2023.) The Twitter comments this has generated is crazy. It never ceases to amaze me how these fans think they are smarter than the Braves GM, and think their digs are relevant. Sample comments: I mean, lol, Cubs. Spending money does not just make a winner, lol Braves currently have 7th highest payroll in MLB, lol Somebody doesn't understand how arbitration works, lol 1994 was the strike year with no Division winner. Prior to that, the Braves were in the NL West. Since 1995, the Braves have 17 NL East titles. Next closest is Phillies with 5, Nationals 4 and Mets 2. (Marlins 0) I know the Braves only have 2 World Series titles since 1995, but c'mon, they know what they're doing. It's a business, not a social club.
