That touchdown catch though....Holy shit. I bet they're hiring a new kicker after losing that game to a missed extra point.
Ehh, that statement should come with an asterisk. It should have been a shorter try. I'd be chewing out Moore, bad, for that penalty. Touchdown celebration cost them the game, the consequences should be severe.
I didn't get to see any OT. I had to leave and haven't had a chance to watch any highlights. I just got the notification of the final score before I posted. They can't all be John Kasay.
as one of the announcers said, "act like you've been there before." If he didn't take off his helmet, it was a chip shot for the win. With the penalty it was basically a very long FG. I didn't really have a rooting interest in that game beyond seeing baker mayfield cry, but DJ Moore can suck a dick for that one. It's going on every lowlight reel and will be played over and over again by coaches as a cautionary tale.
I hate that the ultimate "punishment" for him is that he gets to make multiple BILLIONS of dollars by selling his asset, but the league will definitely be better off in the long run without him.
Is anyone sure of that yet? I haven't seen any indication of the extent of the sale. He could be selling a partial stake.
It's a presumption on my part, the owners just had a meeting and said they had enough votes to force him out.
Commanders could sell for $6B+. Including a new stadium, the costs to buy the Commanders could approach $10 billion.
Wow....Green Bay lost to the Detroit Lions. So...Rodgers is out at the end of the year, no? Also, that Jets/Bills game was legit. Cool to see an upset, and like...the Jets are contenders? What? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.
The end of that Bills/Vikes game was the craziest shit I have ever seen. From the Ringer: "Justin Jefferson made the catch of the decade, or maybe the century, or maybe all time. On fourth-and-18, Jefferson ripped a catch away from a Buffalo defender to keep Minnesota’s hopes alive: It would’ve been a spectacular play if Jefferson had merely reeled in a one-hander to convert a mega-long fourth down. But he did that while winning a contested catch against a defender in perfect position. The Bills cornerback on the play, Cam Lewis, had two hands on the ball. Jefferson had one. All Lewis needed to do was make the ball hit the ground. Jefferson had to keep it off the turf and take it away from Lewis, who, we should repeat, had two hands on the football. There’s a moment when Lewis had pushed the ball down and Jefferson’s hand was twisted backward, so he was palming it a few inches from the ground. And yet Jefferson held on and took the ball away. How strong are this man’s hands? Could he crush a golf ball? If I shook his hand, how many fingers would I walk away with? It was the first fourth-and-18-or-longer conversion of the season, and the Vikings would’ve lost without it. Apologies to Odell Beckham Jr., you’re no. 2 now. Jefferson didn’t stop there. In the final five minutes of regulation and overtime, Jefferson had five catches for 88 yards." Aside from the wildly terrible officiating, that was fucking amazing.
If you missed it, here are two looks: https://twitter.com/NFL/status/1591899559554228224?s=20&t=qSJ8dLAR6-2C7klEZCh7Kg https://twitter.com/NFL/status/1591900504912670720?s=20&t=ZuyQMmhgnFhcle-eCo0RFA Also, in NFL History, only Hall of Famer Randy Moss and Odell Beckham, Jr. have at least 4,000 receiving yards in their first three NFL seasons -- until Jefferson joined the club with his WR season high 193 yds. With 47 more yards he passes Beckham, and with 88 passes Moss.
Not taking anything away from Jefferson - it was a spectacular catch - but if the corner had just done his job properly in that instance, that game is over and the Bills win. It's 4th and 18...he has no business trying to intercept that ball. If he had just come over the top and slapped that ball instead of trying to catch it, there's no way Jefferson's single hand would have been able to hold onto it.
Glad it happened as I was already on my way out of the stadium. I honestly didn't give that big of a shit, it was unbelievably cold yesterday.
Minnesota Vikings try to pay tribute to Veterans, allowing "fans" to submit tributes, and show them on the big screen in stadium. They posted a picture of a porn star in "military" uniform, instead. https://twitter.com/barstoolsports/status/1594529789200711684?s=20&t=MxbZV5xalUqNjifn0RGUEw
