My favourite role of his was his most unrecognizable— Enemy Mine. I loved that movie, the sci-fi version of Hell In The Pacific.
Joe Flaherty passed away yesterday at the age of 82. I only knew him as the guy who Shooter McGavin hired to heckle Happy Gilmore at the celebrity golf tournament.

If you look at the full butterfly effect of fame and headlines that came from being involved with his trial, especially his lawyers… Jesus Christ, there was a ten-year span where every black person in America on the wrong side of the law wanted Johnny Cochran representing them. Those opening monologues had Leno beating Letterman in viewers— by a LOT— for the first time ever. Hertz lost its most famous celebrity spokesman. And now we’ll never know who did it.
