We were in Bethel NY today while our son ran another Spartan race right there at Bethel Woods. While we waited we checked out the Woodstock museum and walked the grounds. Definitely something to do if you’re ever in the area. The two hour drive home feels like a fucking eternity right now though.

Red Sox announcers just said the SF Giants sent out a press release, Willie Mays passed away at 93. https://sports.yahoo.com/giants-legend-willie-mays-dies-at-93-005517007.html
Got to see Willie Mays play a few times. Whether he was the best baseball player ever I do not know. I do know that he played the game different than anyone else I have seen play. One example is when a ball was hit to center field he would just run to where the ball was going to land rather than track its trajectory. If you were trying to advance on a sacrifice fly it was just that more difficult to get a jump.
Shifty Shellshock, who was one of the two main vocalists of the band Crazy Town, best known for the 2000 single "Butterfly," has died at age 49 https://pitchfork.com/news/shifty-shellshock-singer-of-crazy-town-butterfly-dies-at-49/ I couldn't have named another song by that group, but that is definitely one song that takes me back to high school.
