Looking forward to the F1 and Indy tomorrow as well. Some weird shit in Monaco qualifying has Kimi and Vettel on the front row and Hamilton somewhere around row 10. Button comes back for one race and gets handed a 15 row penalty while Alonso is off playing at Indy. Here's hoping that Kimi and Alonso both win their races tomorrow!
A Kimi and Alonso double victory would be way fun in my eyes. It could happen, but Honda has not been having very good reliability at Indy this month.
Hot chicks with pushup bras singing or playing the guitar or both isn't a new thing, its happening all over the place on instagram. Its a crappy attempt at saying people aren't following them for their feminine bits, but that people are following them because they are artists.
Holy low-earth orbit at the Indy 500. I don't think I have never seen a car fly like that. Really shows how they are pretty much a rocket ship on wheels.
Having to work on a Sunday and just before Memorial Day at a rental car establishment is where you meet the real freaks. How the fuck does a whole family not have a single $100 for the deposit we refund if you don't trash the car and was expecting to rent a car that costs upwards of thirty dollars a day excluding gas or our in-house insurance?
Probably the same people who wait until the last second before a holiday on the weekend of to think about renting a car.
Sounds like the same people that will be out today to buy furniture where my wife works in sales... they will pick out $4000 in furniture, not keep track of how much they actually picked out, have no cash, no money in any kind of account, do not want a credit check done to get a line of credit to pay for it, and couldn't get approved for it even if they did agree to it. Oh, and then want to put $25 down to put it all on lay-away. I'll never understand how someone can spend 2-4 hours picking out furniture and have no clue as to how they will pay for it.
The answer is people are stupid. And, it's not limited to the people who don't have money. How in the world does Tiger Woods get a DUI? Why would ever, EVER put yourself in that position when you have that much money and celebrity? I do not get that at all.
My buddy is a regional manager for Enterprise. He has lots of stories like this. There is a strict no cash policy, obviously, but regardless of that some people come into his branches asking to rent a car with an old ID and cash only. He also told me that associates at the rental agencies are taught to aggressively push rental prices and have the ability to alter the rental price person to person if they come in the door looking for a car.
Probably for the same reason he fucked half the waitresses in America as a married man: he's an actual stupid person, and people think he isn't stupid simply because he's famous. See also: Ryan Lochte, Jon Bones Jones, etc.
I don't disagree he's a stupid person, as this was my original point. However, lots of smart people have also been led astray by their dicks or my poor decisions by thinking between their legs. One of the advantages to having a shit ton of money should be never, ever having to drive anywhere, especially while intoxicated. Just colossally stupid.
I'm sure he had his reasons for driving, like wanting to show off wealth with his car, actually I think thats the most likely reason he drove that night. There's a guy that goes to my local bar that drives his Lamborghini and parks it out front. This place is a greasy burger place just outside the U. There is no reason to drive that car there other than to use it to show wealth and use it to pick up college girls.
I bet you it's more the psychology of being famous... it's like being a crazy hot chick, everyone goes out of their way to let you get what you want. He probably thought there was no way he, Tiger Fucking Woods, would ever get pulled over, never mind arrested or charged, because he's Tiger Fucking Woods.
And if he does get arrested he'll get special treatment, be out in 10 minutes, and his lawyers will take care of the rest. I'm thinking you're right. Tiger Woods getting a DUI is a lot less damaging than say you or I getting one.
Wow does he ever look extra-Asian when he's drunk. That's a face that says "Bye bye, remaining sponsors!"
Most people with little or no record usually get a relative slap on the wrist first time out. You pay out the ass in fines and spend a weekend in a hotel lock in program, but that's usually it. Unless you're career revolves around driving, like sales, most companies don't have much stigma against single dui offenders.
You say that like it is a bad thing. College girls need the chance to ride in a Lamborghini as much as the next person.
