Well in all honesty it is a nicer phone then what I have now. I make maybe 2 calls in a good month and have internet at home and at work so my phone is a $25 piece of shit that costs me $25 a month when I remember to pay it, which is about every other month.
The Rockford files is maybe the best show ever about how to just get through life. I did not really watch it during its original run, but really caught up on it in syndication.
I watched the Rockford Files with my mom when I was a kid, and by "watched with my mom," I mean that she watched them, while I played with my toys. However, I got back into the show when I was in prison. I've also been a fan of the "Rockford turn/ Rockford burnout" over the years. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J-turn Fun fact: Rockford drove a Pontiac Firebird in the TV series, and in real life, James Garner did many types of racing.
You're kidding right? I have a 6TB drive on my house network that has less than 1TB of free space left because of movies music and tv. And that's downloading the lower res options, not even as high as 720 in most cases.
Went to my district delegate convention today. New experience for me; glad I went but not sure I want to do this again as the convention was over 7 hours long. Might have gone quicker but there were a couple of old guys who kept trying to amend the rules to make the convention last even longer. The first time the guy did it we had a debate about it, but after that was defeated he went back to propose basically the same thing just a different amount of time and we pretty much shouted him off the floor. Goddamn old fuckers wanting to make an already draw out process even longer because they're retired and don't have anything better to do. Then we had the ballot for policy initiatives, and had to vote on 127 different measures. There wasn't any real debate but we got 45 minutes where people could go up and get 45 seconds to speak on a measure. Nothing real exciting except for this loud woman who was literally screaming into the mic about a measure to obligate superdelgates to allocate their votes proportionally to the regular delegates. I had already supported the measure on my ballot but she was such an obnoxious shrill about it I briefly considered removing my support for it. We then finally got to break into sub-caucuses and elect the delegates, which I thought was interesting but not really noteworthy. There was some politicking involved, but it really wasn't very consequential because they put the Bernie sub-caucuses and Hillary sub-caucuses in separate rooms due to space considerations. Kind of would've liked to see us all in one room (had we the space) since I'm sure there would've been much more spirited debate. Again glad I want but not sure I'd go again.
Just made some killer osso bucco that has to be my best ever, and am about to dig into a second bottle of some good red wine. Been a busy weekend with lots of shit going on... between putting the final touches on some custom shelving for my refinished desk, F1 starting back up, the 12 Hours of Sebring, and doing an oil change on the truck, it was full yet productive. Looking forward to doing absolutely nothing for the rest of the night (except maybe, just maybe, get a bit of a buzz going on). Also started planning our first real fishing weekend with the boys... the excitement is palpable.
Well, I definitely didn't come up with a winning bracket this year (I won over $200 last year) but it's been exciting to watch - and a great excuse not to leave the couch. And speaking of lounging at home - being unemployed is hopefully coming to an end soon. I had an interview last week for the only job I've found in months that fits my qualifications perfectly and is something that I want to do. I'm supposed to hear in the next couple of days if I get a second interview. It would take me back to a city that I love too. I'd appreciate any good vibes, crossed fingers, etc! Unrelated question - Someone (that I know) used my credit card without my permission to book a flight. I didn't notice it on my statement as I had just bought a ticket on that card myself and while I'm not irresponsible about using my card, I'm not the best about knowing my exact balance. I've never disputed a credit card charge so I'm just wondering how difficult it is. In case it matters, he's already taken the flight and it's a Discover card. (I checked and that's the only charge that wasn't mine and the account is now frozen)
You are not getting that off you card unless you don't care that the person who did it faces the consequences. Ask the person to pay for it, if they don't then report them. Otherwise you are going to pay for it.
I guess that was the part of my question that I failed to ask. What would the credit card company be able to do? I'm all for him facing the consequences - the son of a bitch stole my credit card number (and address) out of my wallet. I actually have asked him to pay me back and he initially said, sure I'll have the money to you by the 20th and then he sent me a text the other night that he was moving into a new place and it would be another week. I'd beat the money out of him but there are several states in between us.
Oh, than it's easier. Report to your credit card what happened (Someone stole your info and used it to make charges) and you are going to have to file a police report. Tell him you are going to do it and demand payment that day. If he doesn't pay that day, do it. I mean, he stole from you, I wouldn't even give him the chance to pay me back.
