You're a cop, aren't you? I think that explains it. Does it make me a bad person that my family is talking about going to Disney and I have no desire to go since we've been there twice in the past 8 years or so and I don't really care for it? However, I am ridiculously excited about being home alone for a whole week. By myself!! I can almost taste it. Also, I'm having surgery tomorrow. If I don't make it, remember me fondly.
We went to Disney once while we were in California visiting his family. It failed to live up to the hype, big time. I hear the Florida one is better in a lot of ways. Don't bother with the CA one, it is run down, over run, and sort of depressing. Also, if someone sent me a message, it got filtered. My box was full, sorry.
This is pretty much how I feel on my daily drive to work, at one point today I was in the right lane going a few over 55 and was passing by some cars in the left lane for awhile. The left lane is not the loiter lane. On that note I'm not sure if this information is still correct today but it's interesting... http://jalopnik.com/5501615/left-lane-p ... -state-map My dad loves the left lane law in Illinois (can't drive in it for more than 1/2 mile at a time or something like that), he happily declares it like a parrot every time we cross over the state line when we're visiting family there.
The one in Florida is about ten thousand times better. Disneyland is old, dated, small, simply a theme park. Disneyworld is expensive but there is no better place to take kids, and adults can have just as much fun. We're taking my daughter to Disneyworld for her 6th birthday. She has no idea, and she's never been before so we'll have a hyper kid on our hands.
I can attest to this. I used to work at Disney world when I was in college and we had single attractions larger than the entire Disneyland theme park. Since there is so much more real estate to work with in Florida, they can go balls to the wall with everything.
Yup. That Serengeti tour ride at Animal Kingdom is bigger than the entire Magic Kingdom theme park. Disneyworld's property is as big as a major city.
If that is an official law, they sure as hell don't enforce it. I drive in the left lane a ton (granted I'm going 74-77 in a 65 usually) and have never seen anyone pulled over or reprimanded for loitering in the lane.
For what it's worth my family is from the Brown County area, which could be the exact opposite of Chicago despite being within the same state lines. Two lane highways are a lot less common 'round them parts.
We went in 2005 and 2010. That's why I'm kind of like eh this time around. Plus the two older ones will want to go off by themselves anyway. On the upside, I think Blizzard Beach will be a hit this time around as when we went there in 2005, Patrick was traumatized. It was just the two of us and I thought it would be a good idea to do one of those raft rides. Harmless right? Of course it is. Of course I didn't realize you had to carry your own raft that fits about 6 for a bit, which was really hard as being 5'3", it was taller than me. And the whole time I'm doing this I'm talking Patrick into how much fun it will be (he has a weak stomach and gets car sick and stuff easily). So we finally get to the top and it was the most tortuous ride ever for him. We get to the bottom and he was done for. Back to the hotel we went. He is a swimmer now so would probably love it. In August they are talking about going. August! I burn easily. Don't they feel my pain?
Uh... anyone else getting a redirect from this page to http://www.upgradienk.com asking for a Javascript update?
That's the attraction I worked at. It was a ridiculous amount of fun. One go-round on that ride is 20 minutes. The ride alone is hundreds of acres.
I got a text from the bar owner on Saturday that said we are now charging .25 per slice of lime due to the huge increase in lime prices, went from $50.00 per case to $120.00 per case. We get our limes from Mexico and evidently there was some fungal issues and some weather issues that has jacked up the limes. Anyone else in the service industry heard about this? I thought it was an Aprils Fool's thing but it was not.
After reading what she ate the other night, I wasn't going to try cramming anything new into her box lest everything else come exploding out another hole. If y'know what I mean.
I have not, but we might get our limes from a different source. Plus I wasn't in yesterday. I'll ask when I go in today.
Like I said to you in rep, we're at $118 a case from PFG, $125 a case from US Foods, and fucking Sysco is at $130 a case. We've actually discussed doing away with limes altogether until the price comes back down.
Go get those Emergen-C packets, I think those have a gram of Vitamin C each. The best thing about those packets are, the body can only absorb around 400mgs of it a day. Is anyone else here a germaphobe? I carry hand sanitizer with me everywhere and refuse to touch door handles with my bare hands (I usually use the wrist part of my hoodie to cover my hand to open doors). I get endless amount of shit for it, but maybe because I'm too far gone, I don't see it as unusual.
