I like the creeper over their shoulder who is clearly thinking "what the actual fuck?" I've been back at work for 4 weeks and my coffee consumption is through the roof. I'm drinking between 6 and 8 cups a day. That can't be healthy.
This is bizarre. A few minutes ago I had some random lyrics from "You're So Vain" pop into my head. Then I called a client, was put on hold and heard "You're So Vain." I then walked out in our lobby just as a song started playing. Want to guess which song it was? Yep. Of all the random songs in the world I'm suddenly hearing Carly Simon everywhere.
In an embarrssing bout of random old person-ness, does anyone have a good vertigo remedy? Normal Sunday afternoon, took some pre-workout because I planned on going to the gym after and bang...bout 30 min later I was lightheaded and trippy. Passed on the gym, drank plenty of water and ate plenty, with no resolution. Woke up this morning about 25% better, but still light headed, just not feeling nauseous as a result. I'm not dizzy as much as I just feel kind of drunk. Also, if it helps anyone, the cloudiness and disorientation feels kind of like my experiences rolling, without the myriad of other effects. I feel completely fine otherwise. No cold symptoms, normal appetite. Drove for an hour today and actual forgot anything was wrong by the time I arrived...until I got out of the car.
I DRINK ABOUT 7 CUPS A DAY AND IT DOESN'T SEEM TO HAVE AN EFFECT ON ME! You probably think that song is about you, don't you?
Go see a doctor... that's not just "vertigo"... it could be low/high blood pressure and other "real" health stuff.
I haven't read the whole thread, so apologies if this has been mentioned before, but... Axl Rose is not only going to continue with the GNR reunion, but he is ALSO going to front AC/DC, who will be their opening band on tour. So he's both the opening and main act. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Don't get me wrong, GNR is an all-time favorite and Axl is the greatest voice in rock/pop ever (no, seriously, he has the largest range of anyone), but there's no way the dude can hold himself together for that kind of schedule. He barely made it to concerts in their heyday, and he only had one show a night to handle. I hope the underwriter took out a large insurance policy on this tour.
A friend saw them in Vegas Saturday night. She was floored by the show they put on, she expected a mediocre show at best. They went on on time and played like 2- 2 1/2 hours with 3 encores. We'll see how long that work ethic lasts....
REALLY glad I saw AC/DC back in 2009 while Brian Johnson was still kicking ass. Sure Axl could still rock it but ya we'll see 'bout dat.
One of my symptoms when I had a brain tumor. Not saying it is, but can't say it isn't either. Good luck with that! Get your ass in to see a doctor asap.
Now Slappy brought up Faster Pussycat's cover of You're So Vain in a rep, which reminded me of the awesomeness that happened when Kik Tracee decided to cover Simon and Garfunkel:
Fuckin rad man. A couple of new sales reps just started here today so I get to spend hours training this week. One of them has glasses with camo-pattern frames, like full-on Realtree. I think we'll get along just fine.
Some friends of mine from back in my Music Business days did a cover of Paint It Black... it doesn't suck. They did it for the movie Stir Of Echoes and got some pretty good airplay.
I foresee a cultural sensitivity lecture from HR in my near future. I was talking to a co-worker today and asked how her Dr's appointment went last week. She told me she skipped it because "I went to Mexico this weekend and just went to a vet instead. It's the same thing." I laughed. She wasn't joking. She went to a veterinarian. Who specializes in horses. Exactly the same thing.
That mother fucker better keep his shit together until August 16, I plunked down $330 for mediocre seats for August 15th in Phoenix
Now that would be something to experience... an almost or newly divorced Dewercs at a show that will be lousy with his kryptonite.... you're going to need way more than $330 to survive that night. Better have your bail bondsman on speed dial with an established line of credit.
