So my rep blew up last night with everybody telling me that sherald27 (or whatever) is, in fact, a girl. I realize that anybody can download some random pics from Facebook and claim it's their own, but I like to give people the benefit of the doubt.

Shherald27, if you are in fact a girl, then you have my apologies. Godspeed.

I've read a couple of very convincing articles that the rise in food and oil prices is all down to companies recently being made to speculate long term on these items.

Pimptress - Fun Factory Mini Vibes Angelo. Good for both internal and external use. Definitely a must-have according to myself and multiple other girls I know.

The catalyst was all you damn city folk wanting to have your own piece of quiet property yet still be close to the city.

You fuckers totally ruined a lot of good hunting land.

Here's the question. Why do Americans build their houses out of cardboard. In England and Ireland virtually every house is made of bricks.

It started before that, in the late 40s/early 50s post-WWII, the baby boom, prosperity, and the realization that the "American Dream" was actually in reach for many Americans. The boomers represented a huge population explosion and further factored into the urban sprawl you described in the late 60s and 70s as they became of age.

I don't know where you live, but 1800 sq ft is pretty modest around here. There are some "starter home" neighborhoods at the very northend of Ft. Worth in that size range, but most of the new construction in my area are "McMansions" and in some cases "McCastles" where 3600 sq ft is considered to be on the small side. Terry Bradshaw lives not too far from me and a friend of mine built his pool a few years ago. Grottoes, waterfalls, 2 hottubs...so big it requires 4 filtration systems and 4 heaters/chillers. And he has a bowling alley in his house.

It has quite a bit to do with advancing technology, too. Framing this roof:

...is infinitely easier than framing this roof:

Whether you're using trusses or stick framing. You would have had to spend an obscene amount of money on a really skilled framer back in the day to get the second roof; now, virtually any truss plant can kick that one out easily.

Personally, my house was built in 1946. It's listed as just a tick under 600sqft (that excludes the basement, which doesn't technically meet egress, so let's say 1100 to be accurate). I can't imagine needing any more space than I presently have. I spend my days designing for houses where I think to myself, "No one is ever going to use these rooms. Either they'll be filled with nice furniture and sit vacant, or they'll be piled with junk." A dining room AND a breakfast nook AND an eat-in kitchen. A living room and a family room and a bonus room, spread across two floors. Five bedrooms (when everyone has only one or two children now). I don't get it. And the credit it requires is choking most countries.

One of the houses we looked at when moving here had a master bedroom that was almost 450 sq ft, not including the master bath or closets. All I could think about was: 1) That's a lot of room to cool down in the summer (my bedroom has to be cool for me to sleep) and, 2) the wife is going to want to furnish to size. No thanks.

Just had 4 wisdom teeth pulled and got a bottle if Vico for $2.52 after insurance. Waiting for it to take effect even though they've given me a low dose and the novacaine hasn't worn off. Also, I asked for my teeth, thinking about posting the pic.

Your lucky, when I got mine done they wouldn't give me the teeth or Vico. Buncha bullshit.

You're both lucky. I had no teeth left after they were done getting them out. Hell, they had to cut bone in my lower jaw before they started chiseling them out. I had two black eyes for a week after those damn things came out of my face. On the plus side, nitrous is fucking awesome.

How is one ever on a low dose of vicodin? Hydrocodone is powerful shit, yo.

Fun fact: I had 8 teeth pulled at once. And it was two days before Christmas, so I got to spend Christmas in a codeine-induced daze. One of the finer weeks of my life.

A nice hike with the pooch, a fine cigar, a couple of Sam Summers and I'm ready to hit a new neighborhood restaurant. It's literally tucked in a residential neighborhood a few towns over. Authentic Mexican food and BYOB. A nice bottle of Herradura tequila, an ice cold 12-pack of Carib, and a reservation for a table near the outdoor fireplace and I'm going to be set for the night.

Best part is that I don't need to drive. My buddy's preggo wife will be our pilot for this evening. Bless her heart.

I'm convinced this is why most men in their 20's knock up their women, free DD for nine months.
