It's a damn shame they cancelled his original show, holy fuck was it funny, just more evidence that the assholes who run TV have no sense of what's funny.
I've never seen Jim Jefferies's shows(big shocker there), but I have seen some of his stand up and I don't know guys, it just wasn't doing it for me. Maybe the actual shows are better.
I watched the first two episodes and I was a bit 'meh' about it. I felt a lot of the jokes were the low hanging fruit kind, but it might just be that I'm burnt out on political themed humor. I did enjoy Brad Pitt as the weatherman; I've always liked that he occasionally pops up in seemingly random projects.
That's what I was getting at with the "shallow" description... but it was pretty funny how he went to Melania's home town and interviewed her merchandising lawyer... who had zero sense of humour.
Anyone think McGregor has more than a snowball's chance? If anyone is gonna beat mayweather, it's him. And I'm a huge fan of the guy. But I just think he's gonna get absolutely murdered, his instincts will kick in and the fight will end in some DQ when he tries to put mayweather in a head lock or something.
I actually wouldn't mind that at all if he knocked mayweather the fuck out. Maybe an illegal knee to the chin or something. I honestly don't know what will happen in their fight. Part of me thinks that Conor will land that left hook and thats it. My bigger concern is his cardio holding up for 12 rounds. I know the rounds are half the length but he gasses out after a few rounds if he doesn't get the knockout. On the other hand, Mayweather has never faced a fighter like this and Magregor can still move around like an MMA fighter and just wait to throw his punch.
I saw some footage of him sparring against a guy who wasn't even top-20 welterweight, and Connor was getting his ass handed to him. I think that Floyd is going to do what Floyd does, and play to win. He won't get hit, he'll play it safe. Conor is too much of a counter-striker, and has a weird "lean forward to entice you to hit me" that is Mayweather's calling card... Floyd is the MASTER at that, and that's the only real striking game Conor has. No way Mayweather falls prey to it. Conor is going to get the shit kicked out of him, or it'll be a very boring but technical boxing match with Floyd clinching at will, not breaking a sweat, and he'll come out the winner. There will be a shit-ton of hype and everyone will fucking hate the fight. UNLESS Conor is getting beaten, survival mode kicks in, he forgets the rules, and kicks Floyd hard in the face. Then we all win.
Hahahahaha! Play stupid games, win stupid prizes... http://www.unitednews.org/calgary-man-slices-off-penis-attaching-razor-blade-fidget-spinner/ To be clear... dude attached razor blades to a fidget spinner then proceeded to slice off his dick... then had to get his mom to take him to the hospital to get it reattached.
After reading this I was confused, because there's no way the Jim I was thinking about is that funny. So I did a YouTube search for Jim Jefferies. Totally wrong guy! That guy(the guy who did Freedumb among others on Netflix) is hysterical. I was talking about Jim gafigan. I have mentioned I don't watch a lot of shows/TV in general yet? Time to start drinking.
Like Tyson biting off Hollyfield's ear. But, all of us except MacGregor. I thought I heard if he gets DQ'd he doesn't get paid or something to keep that from happening. It would've been awesome if they did 11 rounds boxing and then last round UFC. Of course Mayweather wouldn't agree to that, but the excitement of Mayweather trying to knock MacGregor out in rounds 9 and 10 to avoid it, would be fantastic. That's not his style, and he'd have to give up some defense to try and get MacGregor. Then, MacGregor would be tired as hell in round 12, too. Alas.
The article said the man was trying to use the modified fidget spinner to trim his pubic hair. I have to think there are easier methods.
When all else fails, just rewatch Arrested Development. Also gin. When all else fails, rewatch Arrested Development and drink a gin and tonic.
So if he did it, it would be that much more of a win. Personally, I'm not a Conor fan. His constant talk about "getting paid" is tiresome. Sure, I get it... he wants to get paid, I want him to get paid, but I'd rather he take the GSP route to getting paid than the WWE route. Again, I hope he kicks Floyd hard in the face... he loses his payday, and Floyd gets kicked in the face. I count that as a solid win.
