    My mom's super secret surprise 60th birthday was on Saturday. Good God I wish I was there. The pictures are amazing and everyone looks great. All I can say is, I am ready to booze it up with my dad at Thanksgiving. ALABAMA HERE I COME

    Holy fucking shit. It is "36 but feels like 50" in Washington today. That is obscene. How is it 10 degrees hotter in Washington than it is in Jamaica?!

    Aaand the snot turns yellow. I am hoping this means that health is around the corner. Yesterday I felt like dogshit and took a 5 hour nap and then rode with el husband to get take out for dinner. If I'm not cooking there is something really fucking wrong.

    Yes. I starting feeling shitty Tuesday night, started with all the nasal secretions probably on Thursday, and I woke up with yellow junk everywhere this morning.

    Oh shit. Do I have an infection? Or are the secretions just more concentrated now (dehydrated?).

    When snot goes from clear to a color, like green/yellow, it generally means you have an infection. You should go to a doctor. If its bacterial, antibiotics should clear it up.

    I think you have cancer, j/k (my family has had cancer so I can make that joke).

    Does your jaw or teeth hurt? From my understanding thats one of the larger indications you have a bacterial sinus infection instead of a viral one. I had a sinus infection two months ago and it was absolute misery. I slept 5 horrible hours in three days during that beast of an infection.

    Well I know it is a virus, that's what colds generally are. They cycle through and you just have to deal with it, unless you have something like viral meningitis. Then you should seek treatment for your viral infection.

    As for the bacterial infection, I think I am going to wait a day or two. I just blew my nose and they are clear again after being yellow for an hour or so. I have no idea what that means.

    Interesting tip about the jaw pain....nope. Just the usual coughing, snotting, excessive sneezing, sore throat and headache. I am taking ibuprofen, a nasal decongestant and popping throat lozenges like candy.
