Earlier this week while Mrs. Noland was in Chicago I told her to text me a dirty picture and she sent a picture of a trash can. This morning when I called her to say Happy Anniversary (16th) she said "Oh, yeah, that is today, isn't it?". It may be time to start auditioning for a new one. Any single women left on this Board?
Any ever get the crunch coat on your cone at DQ? I've never seen it at a DQ except where I grew up in Pennsylvania. I assumed they had discontinued it, but happened to stop for some cool treats while visiting family earlier this summer and they still had it. Wondering if it's a regional thing.
It must be because I've never heard of it before today. As for that gross cherry dip, I always hated that kind. Between the waft from that combined with the butterscotch right next to it is the warming thingiemabob, ew gross. And poor chocolate had to room with them too.
This was my uniform when I worked at McDonald's for a year in 1990. I hated it. Shortly thereafter they began switching to the polo shirts you see today - I was pissed. Speaking of McDonalds, I always enjoyed their relatively simple yet tasty hot fudge sundae. Soft serve vanilla, hot fudge, chopped peanuts.
Funny you mentioned this, I just posted in the movie thread about a theatrical remake of "It". My wife shuddered when I told her about it. Hire Tim Curry. Again.
Yeah Ive wanted to start reading it as well. It'll be the opposite process I have when reading the corresponding Song of Fire and Ice book after each season of GoT is over. I'll read the whole series and when it's translated to screen see how it turns out. I still don't know why the GoT producers didn't end the 4th season with what could have been one of the best cliffhangers ever seen on TV. I can see why book fans were so disappointed.
Anal-ogy Probably not, but this is: - - - - - - - - - - Agree. I thought it bogged down in the middle, but part of that was because I read each one as they were released. The whole series took 22 years to be released. I bet it is fantastic to read them all the way through from Gunslinger to Dark Tower. (Just so you know, "The Wind Through the Keyhole" was the last book written, but takes place between books 4 & 5, I think. But, it's really not a Dark Tower book. The same characters are in there, but King just uses them as a device to tell a story within a story.) - - - - - - - - - - - Angel, do not let being 40 get to you, really. You are only as old as you feel. Today, I felt really old - to wit: I walked by a swimming pool today at lunch. I saw this one girl I thought was pretty cute, rocking a modest bikini. Nice, I thought. Then, a child in the pool called to her, "Grandma! Grandma!" Ouch.
It's really good. Don't read the last book though. Throw it out, make your own ending in your head, and walk away happy. To this day I'm convinced King was just trolling everyone with the last book. He got tired of everyone bitching at him to finish the series.
In my opinion it is one of the best endings he as ever done . . . not that that is saying much as King sucks at endings.
