I don't know wtf Bojangles is let alone their specific biscuit. EDIT: I do know what huckleberries are and they are delicious. My Grandma used to make huckleberry dumplings. They were the shit.
They're kind of a wild blueberry. Bears love huckleberries, so picking them can be exciting sometimes.
You can plan your road trip here: http://locations.bojangles.com/ They have a whole section of their menu dedicated to biscuits, so . . . https://www.bojangles.com/menu/m/biscuits/ You sound a little uppity about it coming from somebody whose grandma made huckleberry dumplings. Don't hate. Dammit, now I want a Cajun filet biscuit.
Huckleberries are amazing. Think of the best fruit ever. And then make it better. A trail guide told us that bears will eat an average of 30 lbs of them in one sitting. Say whhhhhhaaaat? My favorite used to be Rex's. I think it's just in the midwest, so I haven't had it in a really long time. The chicken was amazing and they gave you fry bread with honey. That was heavenly.
All this huckleberry talk has got me thinking of the best song off of STP's mediocre 2010 album: If you like '70s era Aerosmith (as I do), you'll love this song.
Huh. I always thought it was a nickname for blackberries or raspberries. I'll have to try these when I cross paths with them. I told my friend he was lucky to have free mango living in Florida (which I love). He told be he'll rape me with one if I visit. Apparently they make quite one hell of a mess when they fall. I was told in the 1980's if you pick anything off a plant and eat it you'll be dead in four minutes. But not a lot of things grew wild where I was. Occasional blackberries if you're lucky, some strawberries but the chipmunks will beat you to them.
Word. I didn't like their hippie revival stuff. Nothing touches Core. No. 4 I love as well, their boot-in-the-gut Rock works best.
I think 4 had some good tunes, but I loved Tiny and Core. Saw them on the Tiny Music tour, with Cheap Trick opening. They were both very good live bands.
Anyone remember Tyler Knight, the black porn star, from the RMMB? If I remember correctly he briefly had a blog with them and he was working on a book. Looks like he self-published that book and is re-publishing some stories on his blog. Here's a trip down memory lane.
Cheap Trick plays fun music and knows how to give their audience a fun, feel good time. Springsteen does this while singing the saddest songs ever.
I stayed in touch with him for a little while after the RMMB through the artist forum that Ben Corman ran for a while. From what I remember, he was taking his writing career pretty seriously. He spent a lot of effort getting credits from fly-by-night literary journals and had a couple of leads at getting his roman a clef published through one of the big four. But that fell through and ended up in him being a pariah in the porn industry. It sucks because he always seemed like a genuinely good guy who was working through some pretty serious personal issues with his writing while also providing really interesting stories.
