This is one of my favorite Yes tracks. Chris Squire's bass tone is so grinding and thick, the parts are mathematically funky, and at 17:11 he hits a note that is totally not what you'd expect but it works. If mentioning the time of "17:11" wasn't warning enough, this one is long. Nitwit must be so pissed at us right now.
I am going to sound like a kid, but for real, Pokémon Go is pretty damn fun to play, buzzed and hiking around a lakeshore and up into some mountains. But I am now seeing folks just sitting in their cars next to GPS-certified Gyms and camping there to keep the Gym "theirs". Already, some chick found a dead body because of this app: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...er-finds-dead-body-playing-game-a7128441.html Who would have thought this app would have got this big? The act of catching fictitious animals in balls is apparently a strong motivator.
Now that hockey and basketball are over Sundays absolutely suck on TV. EuroCup final is on and thats the best thing on at this moment. Anyway, rules were meant to be broken...
Or not. "Police say criminals are using the app to lure players in the St. Louis region to an isolated location and then rob them." http://fox2now.com/2016/07/10/st-louis-area-robbers-targeting-pokemon-go-players/
It's terrible but I'd die to see the look on the faces of the youngins' at my work who are obsessed with this game the moment someone stuck a gun in their face.
My first thought when I read the premise of the game was...."Uh in some cities there are places you just don't go, did they factor this into the programming?" Apparently the answer is no. 'Hey! There's a Pokeman in cracktown! Collect them all!"
Usually when something like this happens, it isn't because of the failure of birth control or prophylactics. Like the two guys I used to work with who swore their wives got pregnant when they were on the pill. I'm sure they did. Just keep on telling yourselves that.
Bit of a thunder and lightning show this afternoon while I was working on some stuff in the shop. Stick my head out and saw this: Didn't last long, but it's the first time I've seen any kind of funnel clouds around these parts.
It always warms my heart to see some fellow prog fans. If you like Yes, you should check out some of Jon Anderson's solo stuff especially Olias of Sunhillow, which is basically a Yes album. Spoiler Tormato has an underappreciated track or two Spoiler The review of Tormato always crack me up . Apparently it's excessive, pompous and overindulgent. In other words........a Yes album.
