Despite being a member of this/RMMB since 2006/2007, I only vaguely know what this is about. It must have occurred during one of my absences...I feel like I should be eternally grateful.

I really don't understand the back in the day posts here or the nostalgia that some people have for those old stories.
It's part of what made us who we are. All of those "events" in TMMB/RMMB/TiB history shaped this place, who is here, and the tone of our discourse. To turn our backs on those things would be to forget where we came from. It would be like purposely ignoring that time you tried to kiss your blind date and they shut you down. Or when you slept over your cousin's house, and wet your pants during the night, in the sleeping bag he was letting you use. Or that time that your English teacher, Mrs. Anderson, caught you in the supply closet, jerking off to page 163 of Pride and Prejudice . . . . . Don't take our twisted memories from us. For some, that's all we have. Not me. But, you know, some of us.
At the grocery store today I purchased a broom, a toilet plunger, and had to pick up some preggo tests for my wife. Only once I was in line checking out did I realize how bad of a look it was. Kinda caught me off guard and sputtered to the cashier "the plunger isn't for her I promise." She didn't think it was as funny as I did. Either this place is turning me into one sick fuck, or it just attracts people with really sick senses of humor. Maybe a little of both.
