Count me as one of those people. I'm hoping McGregor kicks Mayweather in the head and gets DQ'ed. But I'm not looking for a feed, I'm sure Ill hear about the outcome soon enough
Yeah that's me. Brother in law on our ranch got the fight so wife let me outta the house for a bit once I put my oldest son to bed. It isn't worth $100 to me, but if someone else is already buying it I'll totally bring them a $20 and a six pack.

Annnd.... it seems that the main event will be delayed while they try and sort out the PPV outages and problems. http://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/id/20469815/floyd-mayweather-conor-mcgregor-delay-ppv-problems
Well thats cute, My dad, who you should all know is, significant in my life, lets say, has never bought a ppv fight until now. Now this 67 year old man and my twin with leukemia have to wait while cable sorts its shit out to make sure no one is pirating it in order to watch two people fight....I guess my dad paid up so they're not too worried about him.
Not the case... they can't handle the load that they sold, so hundreds of thousands of people who bought the legitimate feed for around $100 can't load it and watch the fights. If they fuck that up, and run the fight without it going out on PPV properly, the credit card chargebacks would be INSANE. Getting their online server shit sorted out before the fight is really the only way for them to proceed.
That sucks. So its an issue of unanticipated demand and trying to meet that. I understand the delay. Whatever medium is in charge of broadcasting this, I can't imagine the stress they're under.
Well, this is getting interesting. Certainly not as expected. No spoilers, but suffice to say this isn't the mayweather or the mcgregor I'm used to seeing
It's awesome. It's like a rabid coyote showed up at the Westminster dog show, and the trainers are unsure what to do.
HOLY SHIT! Never expected that! Spoiler: the money fight Kidding... it went exactly as anyone with half a brain expected it to.
The other day my uncle was hit by a motorcycle in the other end of town and ended up losing his leg. I know I'm supposed to feel sorry for him, he's the only uncle I have but I can't help but still not like him at all and instead laugh at the thought of him horribly crippled and in searing pain. I hate him and wished death on him the last 25 years, but I'll take this as a late very belated half-wish come true. Enjoy not using stairs again, you sleazy fuck. Get gangrene.
Instead of spending $100 to watch two sweaty guys grappling (that is, hugging) while pretending really, really hard that they don't want to hump each other, I decided to do something useful tonight. I have a web app I wrote a long time ago that streams my music collection wherever I want it to. It's pretty neat. My wife wanted me to make it interface with Alexa, so I've been doing all the shit you have to do to make that work. Tonight I finally got enough of it done to get it responding to some basic requests. It can't stream music yet, but I'll figure that out pretty soon. What it can do is give you a random Vigo the Carpathian quote from Ghostbusters II on demand. Me: "Alexa, ask [my app] for a Vigo quote." Alexa: "On a mountain of skulls, in a castle of pain, I sat on a throne of blood." Glorious. Also my small cryptocurrency investments are up $60 today even after all the bullshit fees. All-in-all not bad for a Saturday.
