Last year there was one male attendee, but he wasn't interested in anyone there. If there was an orgy I didn't get an invitation.
I dunno...my first CMC joint is already arthritic and gives me grief during yoga. I feel like knitting/crocheting/etc would only exacerbate it. Maybe someday I'll be a freak who wears a splint and goes to town.
What the shit? Do you even read the WDT, bro? Obvs, you're making leg warmers for TMR, so she can take a picture for Binary and his fetish, gawd.
Quilting, that's where you start off with a big piece of material, cut it into little pieces, then sew it together to make a big piece of material right?
My next door neighbour is an executive chef for a great local restaurant group in town. He just came over for some BBQ, and I did up some killer ribs with a home-made dry rub on them. He brought freshly baked peach pie with home made vanilla bean ice cream. Then we got hammered on gin and tonics. Life is good.
I took up knitting a few years ago but it's stressful for me and I'm not very good - I did a scarf that's so long, you could jump rope with it. I quilt and sew pretty decent but embroidery is what I really love. There's a tiny pop sometimes when the eye of the needle comes through the fabric and I don't know why, but I like it.
My grandma gave me a sewing machine that I've used once. Cutting fabric is too stressful for me. At least if I mess something up knitting I can rip it back out and reknit it, you can't uncut fabric. I cross stitch some but it's hard to pick up and put down quickly which I have to do when a kid could jump on me at any moment. I need to make a roadtrip playlist too, 8 hours worth.
I've made 5 quilts, and all of them have been the simple square ones. The most recent one was a fandom quilt. I got fabric representing seven of my favorite fandoms: Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Tolkien, and Orphan Black. The challenge was finding fabrics in my bedroom colors - red, black and gray. It wasn't that easy, especially with Doctor Who where everything is blue TARDISes or Harry Potter where Hogwarts colors dominated. But it worked it out.
Remember the creepy clown in Green Bay from a couple weeks ago? Now there's a clown in the woods of South Carolina trying to lure children into the woods. That is infinitely more creepy. “I thought my child was seeing things,” Arnold said. “And then the next day I had about 30 kids come up to me and say, ‘Did you see the clown in the woods?” http://wreg.com/2016/08/29/clown-in-south-carolina-appears-to-be-attempting-to-lure-kids-into-woods/
Speaking of "IT", they are remaking it... They better not fuck it up. If anything, make it way more evil than the original.
It's an R rated version. The TV version was so tame and practically unwatchable, instead watch a YouTube mashup of Curry's scenes. He, alone, is what turned the flick into pop culture folklore. What an insanely transforming actor he is. He was Pennywise. Frank-N-Furter. Darkness. The butler in Clue. He always stole the show but never got an Oscar role.
