Exactly. and its easily repeatable when you need to sharpen again, months or years later. I also like that once set on the angle you want it takes almost zero higher brain function to use. I used to sharpen my knives while studying for exams; it gave my hands something to do and was a kind of white noise for my brain and made it easier to focus on whatever I was reading. Everyone on my dorm floor ended up with sharp knives during finals in college.

I am right here. The wind chimes are starting to go bonkers. I just latched the screen door on the porch. A little nervous about some trees in the yard. Atlanta is under a Tropical Storm warning for the first time ever. (Glad to see the latest Weather Channel say that it's weakening quickly now that it's on land.) I know Florida is just getting hammered. (Hang in there Black Jesus and Florida Man.) Albany, Georgia is under Hurricane Warning, which is in South Georgia, but pretty far inland. (Pronounced All-benny: home area (Leesburg, actually) for Buster Posey, Luke Bryan, Phillip Phillips.) I'm about half way between Albany and Atlanta in central Georgia. Going to be without power for a few days, most likely. Rain should be heavy but not too crazy.

Au revoir, JJ. Separately, 4.5 million people without power in Florida right now. The core is headed close to my house, not excited about that. Lots of wind, lots of flooding. Everyone in my neighborhood has become a ditch digger suddenly. The wind field is amazing with this storm....I think they said 450 mile wide at this stage. Also, it looks like the Tampa shield held and deflected the storm. All I can say about that is thank god! There would be nothing left if they caught a CAT 3/4 from that direction.
