I hate NCAA football. Why the fuck can't the NFL play on Saturday? Then I could get as drunk as I want and sleep before going back to work. 21 of the next 22 Monday's are going to suck.
I completely support this sentiment. What kind of hateful, unemployed, teetotaler asshole decided that the NFL plays on Sunday when 95% of us have to go to work the next day? In other news, my landlord told me he had a premonition that Rosie O'Donnell is going to die soon.
As much as I love my iphone, this new headphone thing is looking like the tipping point for me to switch to android. And I've been a loyal i-whatever user since the first ipod came out. This ridiculous adapter setup is the only way to charge and listen to wired headphones at the same time, never mind that I'm not a fan of bluetooth headphones because you always have to charge them. I'm curious if they're gonna end up losing business over this, or if they're basically closing ranks and making their followers even more loyal.
I expect that a lot of people will bitch about it, but very few will stop buying iPhones. Switching to the lightning connector was a much bigger deal, as it made all of your old accessories worthless, and they made it through that just fine. I see plenty of people talking about losing the new bluetooth headphones, but nobody mentioning how easy it will be to lose that stupid adapter.
The sun is shining ... the brats are slowly grilling, simmering in beer and onions .... the beer is cold in my hand; what more could you want on this glorious day?? A Packers win. Let's go Green Bay!! The NFL is back, and Sunday's are different now.
At the end of the day, I don't see a lot of people jumping to android over this. I say that for a few reasons... FaceTime: I know there are other options like Skype but face times integration is seamless. I use it all the time to talk to family and they might not ever use Skype. Podcast app: I don't know of many other reliable apps that get all the podcasts well. I looked around last year when I had my galaxy but nothing worked well. I listen to A LOT of podcasts and that native app also works perfectly. iOS: my iPhone 5 still works perfectly as an iPod if I wanted it. The function of the software is still smooth and without lag. When android releases updates, it takes about 6 months for Samsung to push it to their phones. Google phones get it right away. iPhones get theirs right away. I know I sound like a fanboy but I'm not. I've had various android phones before as well iPhones. I feel the push to make people use Bluetooth earbuds is annoying but they will overcome it. Especially if the phone still works perfectly.
Why are people so mad about the earbuds? You can plug them in like normal ones. My issue will be losing the dam things, but then again I won't utilize the wireless function. One of the things I'm not liking about Minnesota, humidity. I can't walk two blocks without being a sweaty mess. So annoying. Kind of ready for the cooler weather to get here.
I have Bluetooth in my car. Otherwise I listen to regular ear buds when I'm on the phone. None of this is an issue to me. I've switched back and forth a few times, most notably with the HTC inspire, and a Samsung Galaxy 3 and 4, and a Sony something or other. I found all of them clunky, the interface was less intuitive, and I just didn't like them. Plus my house is set up for Apple. Laptop, tv, iTunes, etc. I'll probably get a 7, but not right away.
My understanding of it is that if you have earphones or an audio jack plugged into the port, you won't be able to charge at the same time. There is a dock you can use to listen and charge at home but there is nothing available yet to allow you to use the port for earphones or into your car's audio system. So you won't be able to use your 7 to listen to music on long car trips without stopping to charge it. I'm not a Van Halen completist so don't know if it's true but someone uploaded a lot of early demo stuff they did. Some stuff has never been released before and some never in such good quality (or so they claim). http://dangerousminds.net/comments/...edible_van_halen_demos_get_them_while_you_can
Pro tip: if you've sent out you're resume and are applying for jobs, check your voicemail to make sure it isn't rude as hell. Also, get a fucking professional sounding E-mail address. I know it's insanely costly to get an E-mail nowadays, but "sexual_chocolate" (yes, that's a real one I've seen) is NOT a good look.
This. Mine is one year too old for the Bluetooth play of music - apple or Pandora or whatever - but my next one won't be.
