Hrm so I don't think you can embed Hulu files on here, but this is one of the sketches I worked on for SNL. Turned out pretty good, we actually shot like...17 alternate endings because two of the writers showed up and starting adding things that weren't funny and they didn't use anyway.
I participated in my first pour hour last night. Fun times. 10 minutes into it, you start getting pissed you're only hearing 60 seconds of certain songs, especially if you were drinking before hand.
Much ado about nothing: did anyone happen to catch that commercial during last night's game with the kids reciting John 3:16? I've never felt more uncomfortable in a sports bar in my entire life. I'd have been less offended if Jerry Sandusky and Bernie Fine did a NAMBLA commercial together. I'm going to chalk up the subsequent beatdown as punishment, because I don't have one shred of doubt that Tebow had a hand in getting that ad in place. And these ads I'm seeing on CBS for that Rob Schneider show has to be an all-time low for them. By CBS standards, that says a lot. God-fucking-damn I hate this network...
Did the weekly grocery shopping at Whole Foods for a change. Boy that is a habit that I can't afford. But I did pick up lamb, buffalo steaks, and some fish I had never heard of. Guess it is time to learn how to cook it.
Yeah. Not a single child in that ad had even the slightest concept of what the fuck they were talking about.
Yes, that was just awful. I mean, I know the only reason they did it is because of the fact Tebow was playing, but it was totally uncomfortable for me, and I was just watching the game with Tonka. As much as I think Tebow is entitled to his personal beliefs, I don't think a commercial like that should be on during a frickin' prime time national football game. If I want to watch religion, I'll flip to the channel with the ancient nun with Alzheimers.
I got ground lamb with the thoughts of making some sort of morrocan meatball stew recipe that I found. I have made rack of lamb before (about as far as I have ventured with lamb) but never gyros. That just seems like one of those things that we wouldn't be able to eat all of so would end up with too much waste.
Yes. We had to rewind at my apartment because no one else was paying attention and they didn't believe me. It was creepy as a motherfucker, and cultish. I doubt Tebow was directly involved with the ad placement (more that Focus on the Family knew it would be a perfect time slot for them), but he did do an ad with them during the Super Bowl last year.
I would eat. that. shit. up. I don't even care if I had to eat it every day for 2 meals a day to get rid of it all. I'm kind of obsessive, if you can't tell.
Yikes. I missed this ad, probably when I got up to start cooking. That was a bit over the top for me.
I do that(I actually make extra just so I can have some for lunch the next day) but my husband thinks that he'll likely die if he eats the same food two days in a row. He has semi changed his tune since I just plan on leftover food days so he can either get onboard or get his own damn food. I say semi because he also sees this as the perfect time to go get barbecue, Five Guys, an entire pizza, etc. How he doesn't weight 300 lbs I'll never know (I kind of hate him a bit for it too)
Crazy cultish religions aside... Is anyone a tea connoisseur? I'm trying to find a really nice teapot for work, preferably one with a warmer. Like, a candle warmer. Not a tea cozy. Probably gonna go post this in the help thread.... /girly question
You could plan on leftovers for several days in a row so that you have the food from 2 days ago instead of yesterday. I bet he would looooove that.
I'm going to be honest and say I have no clue what a tea cozy is, but I do love tea. I've never used one with a warmer feature though. My sister has a cheap coffee pot that she uses strictly for tea, or rather, tea water. She only ever puts water through it so that the water is warm and ready to use in a decent quantity throughout the day. Also, from my college dorm days, I have a small single electric plug in burner. Maybe you could get one of those and turn it on low to go with a regular stove top tea pot?
A tea cozy is one of those tacky knitted sock-like things people put on their teapots: No thanks. My problem is that I don't want a plug-in kettle, since we've had issues with space heaters tripping breakers at work and I imagine the same problem would apply. I don't know how crazy my boss would be about an open flame, but a small tea light in a well-protected holder shouldn't be too bad. Like this: Although I'm leaning more towards cast iron. Something as delicate as ^ that wouldn't last in the shop.
