When I did nothing with my hair, it was cheap and easy. Now that I've taken to keeping it a little wild, I spend about $100 a month or so. I'm obsessed with keeping it up, because I hate when women with short hair let it grow out and get frumpy.

I'm sort of OCD about it, and I change my mind about colour way too often.

    Looky looky what I bought!

SHINY! Man, I got to quit drunken ebaying.

... And with that, I'm going fishing. For the first time since before my accident, I'm going fishing. Not offshore, just speckled trout, but nevertheless, I'm going fishing.

    Woo!

I'd feel guilty being drunk and/or hungover around a bunch of children in wheelchairs. (They're not playing)

Today is the firm picnic. God, how I hate the firm picnic. Every year it rains and every year all of us have to cram into a humid pavilion. Staff and attorneys are segregated like it's 1960 in Jackson, Mississippi. The only reason I go is because I work for the attorney who is in charge of the whole thing which means I have to help set up as well. Ugh. Not looking forward to that.

Although tonight me and the boy are going to the bar and I get to drink away the shitty week I had. Yip!

My boss just came into my office, stood in the corner and mimicked taking a piss. Then he turned, giggled and said "Look, I'm Gerard Depardieu".

    WTF?

Well, we've lived 2 hours apart in different states this whole time (Nebraska and Missouri)...total long distance relationship. SO far it's just been a weekends only kind of thing, then add in the Holidays and that's all we've had together. Which I swore I'd never do, but I think it's actually been a good thing since it avoids that whole "Too much, too soon" kind of thing thats ruined basically every relationship I've ever had. Granted, I'm older now, but that always seemed to be a part of why shit failed.

We've been dating for 11 months, engaged since July 23...I had been thinking about getting a job up there (Lincoln or Omaha) before we even knew each other, as my best friend in the world lives in Lincoln as well, most of my other friends do, my family is up there...and I know that I'll never find a better person to be with. Her physical beauty is the least of her endearing qualities. Most people (including my dad) question her judgment in being with me, and I tend to agree with them.

I'm excited about it. I know it's work, and it's not easy....but when you've lived life as a constant parentally funded party, which is what my life up to now has been, all I want is to be a normal couple doing normal things.

(To clarify, I haven't needed any money from my folks directly for years, but the fact that I have ZERO student loan debt from them, plus yearly gifts, my life has been a lot easier to manage financially, thus allowing far more freedom than most have at my age. I'm not even going to lie and say that I make that much myself. I do perfectly fine, but the fact that I have no debt at age 33, other than my car which is nothing, makes it look like I do better than I do.)[/quote]

Sooooo.... You have only been dating for 11 months.... Only been together weekends and holidays... You haven't even spent that much time together. Now, you are going to move in together. Good luck. You are going to need it.

I want to make a tshirt that reads "I'm only here for the drunk thread."

And below it would be wolves howling at the moon.

    I'd make millions.*

God I can't wait until I can go home, enjoy a cold beer, a bottle of wine, and some country air...and also to find out if my slutty horse is knocked up. She broke in with the studs at the trainer's place and I'm pretty sure she's gonna bless us with a foal.

You people who've already started drinking for the weekend are hurting my jealous bone.
