    I may not be safe, but I like to live by percentages. For everyone one person that gets acosted there are thousands that aren't. I have never believed myself to be a special little snowflake so I just assume I'll be one of the thousands rather than the one.

    And now that you ask, yes it is nice in my happy little world.


    I did break down and buy a road id that is on my shoe so they will at least be able to identify my beaten and bruised disposed body just in case I am wrong.

    Mrs. Noland and I lived 4 hours apart for 6 months, then we both moved and turned 4 hours into 8 hours, which lasted a year. 4 months after she moved to me we were engaged, 8 months after that married, 13 years later, here we are. Stop being a bitch.

    My husband and I were long distance for two full years. I'm talking 15-hour-drive, long distance. I saw him once or twice a month (sometimes more, sometimes less, depending on how cheap flights were). We didn't live together until after the wedding. He didn't even move here until two weeks before the wedding. We've been married five years now.

    Our transition was easy. Really easy. It can work.

    My wife lived about an hour away when I proposed. She moved in about 6 months later.

    We're happy, and she hasn't divorced me yet.

    I'll throw my hat into the ring as being optimistic as well. You know if you are compatible, and if you are, distance doesn't really matter.

    You'll encounter a lot greater problems in your marriage than just a few hour drive.
