    Climbing is similar to lifting in that it involves the posterior chain, pretty heavily. There's a reason climbing is about the footwork and the finger strength.

    Three blown discs, nerve damage, and because of that scoliosis. I have the back of an elderly man. I do a core routine (own body weight) that does pretty well keeping everything together and me in shape. Just nothing for my heiney.

    Ok, first...OUCH.
    Second...if you're wanting to take care of your ass, lunges and unweighted (or low weight) squats will help.
    I dunno if I would do kettlebell swings or anything without talking to a doctor first.




    But lunges will definitely help.

    I have old mans back as well. I've been in and out of physical therapy since I was a teen for kyphosis. They started me out with the usual cat stretches, bands, and pelvic tilts but they all lead up to dead lifts which they said strengthens your core the best. Of coarse you should consult a professional through out, figure out which muscles specifically are throwing your back out. Start from there.




    I don't have a gym membership and have been slacking on my diet and work outs the past few weeks. For the ladies I'd say this is an approximation of my chest:

    THE ONLY good part about today is that my cousin is going to come work for me. This is excellent, because he's driven, he's a hard worker, he's not a total fucking idiot, he's into fitness, and I can kick him in the balls if he pisses me off. Also, I have another hour and a half of work. I've been here since 545 with a 2 hour break in the evening. Y'all please don't go to bed yet. I will expire of boredom.

    Well I made the fatal mistake of feeling sorry for my ex and brought her into my group of buddies. We had a falling out and I need to get rid of her. I feel more like a dumbass than anything about this.

    get a good female friend into the mix to run her off. Doesn't have to be anyone who means anything to you romantically, just have a girl who's 'one of the guys' chase the ex off by making her feel insecure/insignificant.
