Good. Maybe it will fix the bullshit HUD problems and Jet controls. On another note, December 7 for PS3 players, December 14 for everyone else:
That trailer looks awesome. I had to stop playing so I could get my work done, but I'll be coming back with a vengeance starting this weekend. I might even give the campaign and co-op a try. Here's a link for PS3 owners interested in getting a free copy of battlefield 1943 on December 10. https://1943redemption.battlefield.com/index.php
Played a bit last night. I was surprised that the new maps don't let you do regular Conquest mode, just Assault Conquest, a throw back to BF1942. All in all, they're pretty fun and the game seems much faster paced. The best looking map is Wake Island. Strike at Karkand was originally a dark, gritty map and I was disappointed that it lost that atmosphere. Over all, a good addition though.
I wasn't really paying attention but I think they do let you do regular Conquest. It seemed to me that Conquest assault was limited to 3 capture points but on some games there were 5 capture points. It could have been assault and I just joined mid-game but not sure...
They allow you to play Rush and Conquest on the new maps, you just can't play Conquest Assault on the original maps for whatever reason.
Those of you on PS3, don't forget to download your free Battlefield 1943 that we all got for purchasing the PS3 version. Go here to redeem your code: <a class="postlink" href="https://1943redemption.battlefield.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">https://1943redemption.battlefield.com/</a> It takes less than 5 minutes to get it all set up and the download going. Definitely worth it.
Karkand seems pretty cool, maps have way more buildings to hide in and blow up and they crumble way faster. Way more flags to capture in conquest. When I bought BF3 I didn't realize there were limited edition copies that gave you Karkand for free so I unfortunately had to buy the DLC.
Both of my idiot roommates had the Limuted Edition and bought it anyways. Before you buy it load the game and it will prompt you to download the maps/update.
Yeah, I still play every so often. I turned it back on recently to knock the dust off, with the DLC in mind.
