When was the last time it was socially acceptable for a girl to pay for a guy's drinks? I'm not talking about a girl buying her platonic male friend drinks, although that never happens either. At least, not in my experience. Double standards are one of my reasons I do not get involved with anyone - I always seem to get stuck with the bill - and I'm not just talking about drinks. Maybe I'm just an emotional cripple - who knows. Both sexes will never be equal, due to double standards and society's perception of those standards. Even if people try to do things differently on an individual basis, society as a whole will still shun them because society, as a general rule of thumb, shuns anything that's remotely different from the bell curve. Society embraces "groupthink" because thinking and acting in the same way as others makes many people feel safer than being different in any way.
In high school gym class we had this girl who would run around yanking down the gym shorts of the guys. Go to kick the ball during kick ball? Pants around the ankles. Go to shoot a basket? Pants around the ankles. It was all fun and games, and everyone just laughed it off, including the gym teacher. Until the day she yanked my pants down on the basketball court. I instinctively turned around and yanked her shorts down as well. I was immediately booted from class, school, and I believe the term sexual assault may have come up. Fortunately for me she thought the whole thing was hilarious and extremely unfair, and made it clear to administration that she had been getting away with this all year and it had never been a big deal until someone finally did it back to her. At least the whole experience got me to finally quit wearing whitey tighties.

Focus: Testicular cancer and prostate cancer get relatively little attention from the media when compared to breast cancer. Breast cancer is obviously an extremely worthy cause. Illnesses that effect males seem to get less attention in the media though. Movember is a good way for these 'male issues' to get a bit more attention.
About a week ago I was eating at Olive Garden and I was a little drunk. Nothing excessive; just laughing loudly at jokes and maybe my speech was a bit slurred. The waitress came over twice to ask me to calm down, and I was getting glares from every direction. Not that it bothered me all that much, but I've seen people in their 40s doing the EXACT same thing and no one seems to mind. Go on a ladies night or something. It's not that rare.

Girls can now join the Boy Scouts, which is I think just called the Scouts, boys on the other hand can’t join the Girl Guides. So a place for little girls to just play with other girls is fine but the reverse is sexist, this always pisses me off. There is very little skill involved in a woman getting laid; do people call you a legend for being able to walk? If the same standard that women applied to men was reversed and applied to women from men as well (in terms of general quality), the world's population problem would be solved. Men are considered legends for it because while in absolute terms it may not be difficult to get laid, relative to how difficult it is for a woman, it's hard as shit.
