Possibly nsfw NSFW The mixture of my adolescent hormones and some of the hottest women from the '90s in the accompanying video have left this ballad embedded in my memory well into the next decade.
One could make an entire thread out of Clint Mansell songs; he's my favorite movie composer. Speaking of which,
Literally nothing to dislike about this...unless you have to watch the show after the song. EDIT: Link won't embed for some reason.
This is probably a bit obscure as it's pretty new, but I'm digging the theme to the show Justified. It actually made me interested in finding out who made the song and turned me onto a strange genre, gangstagrass. It's a mix of hip hop and bluegrass. Well, really it's just a rapper using bluegrass as his beat. Still interesting, in my opinion as I've never heard it before and it seemed to modernize the bluegrass a bit. I also really like Sons of Anarchy's theme. This is probably pretty logical, but the more I like a show, the more I most likely like the theme music as thematically they go pretty much hand in hand. I can't think of a show that I really like where I hate the intro or theme music. Here's a potential Alt. Focus: Any themes or movie songs you just hate? As for movies, Quentin Tarantino is always so good at choosing music for his movies. Stuck in the Middle by Stealers Wheel in Reservoir Dogs is extremely memorable and oddly perfect.
Like all great directors, Scorsese has an amazing taste and range for music. Favorite song from The Departed. Never would have guessed Martin would put rap in his movies
This song got stuck in my head for a long time after watching the movie, to the point that I had to download it.
How did we go three pages without mentioning the Theme from Shaft? Hands down, the best movie song of all time is The Ecstasy of Gold. Ennio Morricone > John Williams
The final duel from Once Upon a Time in the West, music starts at about 5:40. Warning: it's the final duel so don't watch if you haven't seen the movie.
