That's pretty funny. I also just read a funny, joke theory that Breaking Bad will end like Bob Newhart's show and Bryan Cranston will wake up from a dream and go back to his life of raising 3 boys in suburbia. It was all just a dream, Hal.

You guys should check out the Breaking Bad section on Reddit. Most of those were taken off there. And a few of those are quite the stretch...
The BB sub-reddit a pretty good one. The theories some people have are pretty indepth and interesting.
Over the past week, I keep seeing this theory pop up that makes reference to Walt using Skyler and Marie's maiden name, Lambert, on his fake ID at Denny's. The thing that's driving me nuts is that I can't seem to find out how we know this other than, 'the Internet says so.' Does anyone know how or why we are supposed to know that's their maiden name?
I don't know, the birthday bacon at the beginning of this season seemed more sad to me - like a lonely reminder of his past and the happy family life he so cared about and ruined. I thought it was more likely to indicate that his family left him (or were maybe killed due to his new life) than revealing that he had killed her/them himself. But maybe I'm just naive. By now I guess I should really just be expecting the worst possible thing from Walt.
I completely agree. I don't see Walt killing Skyler. Even though she's a pain in his ass, he still seems to love her in his own fucked up way. (Sidenote: Am I the only person that doesn't hate Skyler?) Also he started going down this path to provide for her and the kids. Everyone seems to think its certain that Walt will die. I think it'd be a lot more interesting to have him live with either the family dead, some kind of Pyrrhic victory, or making some kind of crazy balls out move because fuck it he's a dead man anyway and then the last scene of the series is him finding out that the cancer has gone back into remission.
I see the birthday bacon the same way as Audrey. I would be disappointed in the show if it ends with Walts death or a sudden reveal that he is in remission. I'm thinking he has hair in the flash forwards because he has either chosen to stop chemo in order to have quality of life while waging his war, or because he gets the all clear between now and then. Maybe he is on the run and just can't get treatment. I wonder sometimes if the flash forwards detract from the narrative of the show and just provide fodder for Gilligan to do quirky things like the Carol/oranges interplay. It provides intrigue now that we wonder about his situation there, but I feel let down that we know already his world comes crashing down. In any case I am very excited to see if tonight's episode picks up in the garage. Would love to see Walt just flip out and kill Hank, resulting in him going on the run, but something tells me he goes back to town to fight Lydia and kingpin from Say my Name episode after the quality issues come to a head.
I absolutely LOVE how each episode is following directly from the next. They are skipping nothing and showing every ounce of the fall out. Absolutely the best show on TV and it has been consistently so pretty much from day one. I haven't been this anxious to see a show progress since watching the first 4 seasons of Dexter on demand.
Great setup episode. Loved how Aaron Paul had absolutely no lines and still did a good job. Walt pleading with Skyler on his bathroom floor about making sure the kids get the money was great, and I found myself feeling sorry for him again. The scenes with Lydia were good as well. Didn't expect Declan and his crew to be knocked off so soon, but hey. I guess my only question would be, how did Lydia get in touch with the neo nazis? How was she even aware of them outside of sorta being connected from the prison hits? I suppose they could write it off as since Todd is now the main cook, he set it up to wipe out competition. My guess would be they kidnap Jesse at some point and make him cook sky blue to purity.
Kinda sort of connected? The prison hits were all set up through Todd's prison connection with his dad. If you don't remember it was her idea to kill all of Mike's crew to begin with. Since Lydia made it abundantly clear Todd had been her preferred choice to cook from day one it stands to reason she was still in contact with him and had him help in her move to oust the kingpin from last night.
Well excuuuuuuuuuse me. But yeah youre right, I completely forgot about that. I hope kills her. Theres absolutely nothing charming or redeeming about her character. Any sympathy I had for her when Mike was threatening her early on is gone.
Jebus, just pedal the floor, plot-wise, in this episode. Love this show. I second/third Audrey's point about Skylar/the bacon. Also think anyone who was hating on Skylar in past seasons, or calling her a bitch or whatever, was way off base. Walt won't kill Hank, at least not yet, because he's family. I guess they're trying to get us to sympathize with him again? I was a bit surprised he dismissed it outright. Can't help but feel, after Marie's attempt to take Holly and Hank's demand to Walt last week, that the kids are in coming danger. Lydia and the Skinheads, presumably (good band name). I know you guys disagree, but I'm sticking with the Star Trek analogy. Hank is Chekov, who is gonna team up with Jesse (Scotty) to get Walt. And they'll think they have him, until they don't. My guess is something is going to go wrong when Hank pitches the story to his superiors, things will get twisted to look like he knew more than he did, and he shoots himself in shame. Or something. How many stacks you guys think Huell and Kuby took? How much would you have taken?
Todd is such an interesting character. His emotional detachment is chilling. But he's also this seemingly nice guy. Kind of similar to Walt, early on, without that extra buffer. Gilligan making us squirm during that diner scene and again when Marie tried to take Walt's daughter was just very well done, albeit awkward as hell.
My guess would be in the 30-50k a piece range. But I forget how much they said there was originally, 5 million? 50? If it was fifty, maybe 100k a piece.
I think they took more than 100k a piece. Think about it from the earlier episode where Walt gave Jesse those two duffel bags, worth what? 2.5 mil a piece? The amount of money in that storage unit was easily 50 mil (maybe more since there are varying denominations). How much would I have taken? I'd probably try to find the highest bill denomination stacks and keep those, since it would look like less was taken... Maybe 250-500k?
Forbes figured out that its more in the $80-90 million range. I would have taken at least 500K and up to 1M. Walt and Skyler have no idea how much it is, let alone know have any feasible way to launder it beyond a car wash. Those guys could have taken 10 bucks (or even nothing) from the stack and Walt would have probably assumed they were skimming it anyway. He knows hes absorbing a moral hazard no matter what.
That's true I guess Walt and Skylar never knew an exact amount. There is a lot of speculation to how much was in the storage locker (YUUUUUUP!). From what Ive read a behind the scenes clip said 80 million but Gilligan and crew have given contradicting statements to that number. Realistically they could have skimmed maybe 5 % and gone unnoticed and in the scene in the back of the van Walt seemed to acknowledge they probably took a taste just for the trouble. But they also knew he was an insanely dangerous man that could pull of near impossible hits. I'd still top out at a million as my guess for a total.
