I'd like to think that they didn't take any of it, then wished they had after Walt said, "Close enough."
I think Hank is going to try and turn Jesse and then use Jesse's confession as his proof so he doesn't have to look quite so stupid.
What do you think Jesse is going to confess for? I think the turning point may be if they find Mikes body and then maybe Jesse starts talking. That would go back to when Gus told Walt that you can never trust a junkie.
It has been a while since I watched the last part of the season. Did Walt ever dispose of Mike's body like he usually does? It seems from the last episode Saul knows about it as well. I don't think Saul will let anything on about Mike but if the DEA is able to show Jesse some evidence then that is what Im thinking would make him flip or say fuck cooperating and try and kill Walt himself.
They dissolved his body in hydrofluoric acid, so I dont know if theres going to be any evidence aside from him simply vanishing.
I've only watched the last episode once, so I could be off. From the two detectives(?) perspective, all they've got is the money tossing to ask Jesse about. In the conversation Hank had with them, it seemed like he doesn't even want them to know what he's after. At this point I'm guessing Jesse works with Hank, but not in full-out confession mode. Maybe tells him where to look, or to investigate Lydia further, or something else I'd never think of. It seems like the money is the only hard evidence possible, doesn't it? I was a bit surprised Hank didn't try finding Gale's fingerprints on the book, as long of a shot as that would've been. Oh and the kid driving the yellow toy car in front of Hank's house during the showdown has to represent something. Fuck I love this show.
But to American courts and law enforcement there isn't any difference between $10k cash and a bag of cocaine. Even if they can't prove anything that money is getting confiscated. I could see Jesse using Hank for his own goals. Finding out what happened to Mike, exposing the Drew Sharp thing, etc.
Totally. I was referring to Walt's cash, though I suppose Jesse naming Walt as a major cause of his own cash, on record, would be quite the thorn in Walt's balls.
I have a feeling they might draw out Hank's unwillingness to name Walt for a little while. I just don't see Jesse giving up Walt as easily as a confession to Hank. I imagine they might play cat and mouse for a while as Jesse decides what he wants to do with Walt. I also think Jesse has a little too much animosity towards Hank and the law to flip and become a snitch.
Jesse isn't a manipulator like Walt is. In fact, I don't know if Jesse has the intuition and foresight necessary for subversively manipulating another person.
Agreed, in fact I think the opposite is quite plausible. Hank interrogates Jesse next week, ant after sparring back and forth, they find common ground in their hate for Walt. The DEA moves too slowly so Hank goes AWOL with Jesse to take Walt down.
You know what explanation I love even more for Walt in the flash forward than him going to rescue Jessie from the Czechs/Todd's gang? The thought that he is going after them all to protect his recipe from being used in a world without him. I want to see how far Gilligan can push this guy into absolute irredeemabilty. Is that a word?
Can anyone explain to me what just happened? I'm a little confused with the pack of cigarettes. I know it had something to do with the ricin. But I don't see the realization.
At first I was confused too then I realized Jessie put two and two together. He realized that Saul had the black guy lift his cigarettes with the ricin. If you remember Jessie was terrified that he had poisoned the little boy with it, but Walt gave the kid lilly of the valley which just made him really sick. He had manipulated Jessie to go against Gus with that move. It was a game changer and helped get Jessie back on Walt's side because he had accused GUS of poisoning the kid. It went to what Jessie was saying in the desert "Stop working me." I can't believe I have to wait a whole week to find out what comes next. This show is so fucking good it's unbelievable. That move with the "confession" was evil, cunning, and brilliant. The man really is Satan.
I thought Walt "found" it in the Roomba? Then he flushed yet he still had the real one in the wall outlet.
