Just finished watching the first episode of the new season... was pretty happy with it. Michael Ironside guest stars. Fuck yeah. Not quite sure that the "soul-searching" crap with his Mom at the end was legit... I'm hoping not, and it was solely to let his mother feel and nurture like a mother. Seems to be pretty weak/shallow for him to fall for something so cliched.
Yeah, I agree. The scene would've been more poignant if it had come after he accidentally burned the other spy -- at least then he would've had something to be upset about.
Season 5 fires up again tonight... downloading it now. Should be good. I've really enjoyed the show so far, and it's actually hard to believe it's season 5 already. Nix, the guy who wrote/created Burn Notice, also did The Good Guys, which is great show as well.
Jesus Christ I don't watch enough TV anymore. I completely have missed the fact this show is back, and it is one of my favorites.
After last episode, definitely. Spoiler I was completely prepared for Mike to see the video, know the guy as being a two-bit spy from his past, interrogate him next episode, go after the guy above him the episode after that, and so on. I was quite surprised by the actual video, showing the guy looking exactly like Mike. Great episode and I'm really looking forward to next one.
