I think you're missing the point that this "private" email server was being used for official, very high-level and top secret communication. She used it as her email server as Secretary of State doing Secretary of State communications with it.

She sent more sensitive information through that server than Snowden released.

It's a BIG FUCKING DEAL, regardless how much she tries to poo-poo it away.

Regardless of political affiliation, the defense of the email situation is hilarious. It either boils down to "Hillary said its fine and not to worry, so we're good" or "this country has far greater problems". Both of which are BS. Experience and political fit aside, its just another dishonest misdirection from a woman who has made a career of it. Trump has to be POURING money into Clinton Foundation investigations right now.

Trump on debating Bernie: "It should be in a big arena somewhere. And we can have a lot of fun with it. I'd love to debate Bernie" he said. "The problem with debating Bernie is he's going to lose. Because honestly his system is rigged. Just like our system is rigged."

    Already started shit talking. Awesome.

So ALL the news is going to be Trump/Bernie with nothing about Hilary except email servers and FBI investigations. I bet you she freaks and overreacts inappropriately yet again.

Quite honestly, it's a brilliant political move.

Millions of disillusioned Bernie supporters who feel that the Dems stole the election from their candidate are going to tune in, just to see Bernie. Many of these people will have only seen facebook memes and echo chamber comments about Trump, this time they will get to actually listen to what he says.

All he has to do is agree on a few key points, not be openly hostile and/or condescending to Bernie, and bash the hell out of Hillary. BOOM! Millions of votes go to Trump. For free.

Or, Bernie digs deep on Trump's stances to disclose how shallow and impractical they are, and BOOM, Bernie gets millions of new votes.

Either way, I think we get to see two candidates that genuinely speak how they feel, albeit from two different ends of the spectrum. I think that if I got to watch one debate for the entire race, this would be the one that would most interest me.

I think it's more of a calculated risk by Trump working on the assumption that Bernie won't be the Dem nominee. If Hillary ends up the nominee, Trump is in pretty much a no lose situation.

I'm not missing the point. I'm saying that I'm willing to risk whatever consequences this whole email issue implies in order to ensure that someone like Trump doesn't appoint a bunch of conservatives to the SCOTUS and I get to watch the reversal of Roe v. Wade, Obergefell v. Hodges, and the entrenchment of the stupid bullshit that is "Freedom of Religion" acts that safeguard assholes' ability to discriminate against gay people, transgender people, women, people of color, and other minorities. And that's just the prospect of SCOTUS appointments. I also don't care for the climate change denial, tax policy, immigration policy, and other policies Trump has (claimed) to support.

Even considering the things about Hillary that I don't like or bother me, such as her votes on the Patriot Act, the Iraq War, and her recent comment that she'd put her husband in charge of economic policy; all of those issues are much more important to me than some COMSEC breach.

If a Romanian hacker makes a plausible claim that he got into Clinton's server, what are the chances that the Chinese government got in? Pretty damn good.

" Asked whether the server had been compromised by foreign hackers, she told MSNBC on Tuesday, “No, not at all.”"
Which in Hillary-speak means "Yes, multiple times, but I'll be damned if I'll ever admit to it."

Bernie will make Trump look like an idiot in a debate. Up until now, Trump has been dealing with buffoons and morons... Bernie can think on his feat and won't devolve to Trump's level, and Trump will look weaker because of it.

This is a bad move on Trump's part, and will only strengthen Bernie's chances of doing "the impossible".

I'd love for this to happen, but I'm wary at the same time. Bernie's gotten the kid glove treatment from the dems; Trump's not going to hold back at all. Bernie's let his cool get away from him when under stress, and you know Trump's going to do every thing he can to get under Bernie's skin.

No one is going to care either way. It's not like supporters of either were going to switch sides, they are much too far apart (despite similarities on paper). The point is to marginalize Hillary. She's the only one that loses. Bernie gets to stay relevant, Trump gets to further solidify his nomination.

In the general election, an avowed socialist is not going to win. It's just not going to happen. He's too far out there. Unless things get insanely fucked up going forward, anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves. As despicable as Hillary is, a Sanders nom will hand Trump a victory. And this comes from someone who supports none of them.

I've heard Trump already backed out of the debate saying he was "joking".

The only reason for him to back out is because he's scared that he'll get owned. And he will, make no mistake.

    http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...p-and-sanders-say-they-might-debate/84963488/

On what fucking planet does debating an opponent, an integral part of our political/voting system, warrant a $10 million FEE? Excuse me, "donation." Any excuse you want to make in favor of it, it is still undermining and cheapening our most cherished right. Fuck this sideshow bullshit. This election is reality TV.

A significant swath of supporters of both candidates have zero interest in the political process, debate, or even learning how their own government works. No loss if they club each other to death. They weren't involved in voting before their candidates, they won't be involved after. Hell, I'd even put money on some of them not showing up on actual voting days.

He will eventually be annihilated in a televised debate. It could range from savage burn to completely embarrassing depending on the moderators. Still won't stop his supporters.

Trump rally tonight in San Diego. Its at the convention center which is way far away from where I'm at. It'll be interesting to see how it goes. My friend has been to one. He said while he was there people were going up and down the isles trying to instigate fights. My friend is a quiet introverted person, its very hard to get him riled up. He said he had someone shouting things at him holding a camera in his face just waiting for him to get angry and do something that'd look good for the camera.
