Better to be confused than certain. I don't trust anyone who thinks they are absolutely right on anything...Except vaccines, there's no room for uncertainty there
I've come to the conclusion that the base reasoning for my pro-gun stance is this: Because I like them, ok? I like to shoot them. They're fun. Baseball might be the baby boomers' past-time but guns are ours, ok? They go BANG! And they make our dicks feel really, really fucking long and thick and powerful when we hold them ok? Fuck you! .... does that make me a bad person?
Negative ghostrider. It passed in the last 50 voting districts or so. The British Prime Minister just resigned. European markets are crashing. Holy crap.
Things seem like they will continue to get interesting-er: Scotland want out - http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/nicola-sturgeon-raises-threat-second-8271259 NI is talking about reunification - https://www.neweurope.eu/article/northern-ireland-calls-referendum-united-ireland/ Spain is making a play for Gibraltar - http://www.politico.eu/article/span...in-on-back-of-brexit-vote-eu-leave-sovereign/ EDIT: What a buy-in opportunity for the GBP at $1.39
Some very interesting comments coming out of Europe today. I keep seeing sentiments like "Why does the vote of poor and uneducated have the same value as normal people?" and "We need to change the system and allow the rich and educated to vote more. We need a scaled democracy based on the value of people." over and over again. Apparently the old elitist divide is still alive and well in Europe.
Where are you seeing these comments? Because the left in our country just keep calling the UK racist and xenophobic over and over again.
I was invested in the Nikkei last year (at a loss). It came due about 2 weeks ago. That was fucking close. Down 8% today. Which is ludicrous. Dow appears to be set to erase June's gains. Today will be an interesting lesson in investor panic. I am going to sit here sucking down coffee for the next few hours, probably cry, then just ignore the whole fucking mess. Taking any bets if Brit gubmint ignores the referendum? OI, YA TOSSUH! So I tolds the swamp donkey tuh shut it or I'd gib her a tonk in thuh tradesman's entrance and have her suck me yaaaaarbles! No, but really, I feel their pain every time I get into a conversation with someone from Loxahatchee.
Different boards on the internet. As far as our US left...thatr's what they call everyone they disagree with. It's lost all meaning. I'm curious what Obama's reaction is going to be after his comments that the UK would be moved to the back of the line in US trade talks if they leave the EU.
Three of the Brits I follow on twitter I have on mobile notification so I can see what they post immediately. I woke up in the middle of the night to go pee and there were over 60 notifications. I knew then that the shit had hit the fan. A couple of my favorite tweets so far: https://twitter.com/pressfuturist/status/746267885442588672 https://twitter.com/bencooper/status/746227585542037504 I don't know why I'm surprised that another country would be going through the same bizarre political fuckery as the U.S. It's actually pretty interesting, when you think about it. Whatever is happening is not just something happening within the U.S. I'm curious, is it like this in Canada?
Hopefully he wont say anything except congratulate the UK on exercising democracy peacefully, and looking forward to maintaining a future relationship, etc. etc. 0%, unless their goal is to start a constitutional crisis.
The U.K. Is one of the few developed countries that has similar income disparity to the US. And we've seen how crazy it's made our politics...
And over. And over. And OVER. He's not kidding, type "xenophobic" on Twitter and watch the fucking salt rain down. These people don't even LIVE THERE. Sit down and shut the fuck up.
All the media is really saying right now is "He's been briefed", which is code for "You had to open your mouth and meddle in our closest ally's business didn't you, you stupid mother fucker."
Looks like I picked a great time to go to England. We're leaving in two days. On the plus side, my vacation just got a little less expensive. On the negative side - I was hoping, among other things, to escape the political bullshit going on here in the States for at least a little while. For what its worth, my British friends are saying that next on the list will be Scotland voting for independence.
Obama infuriates the Brits as he threatens to send UK 'to the back of the queue' if they vote to leave the European Union http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...cal-decision-tell-British-voters-stay-EU.html
