    *B edit:

This is the serious thread. Lets keep it to civil discussion of current events, and less bitching at how something may seem ridiculous. Back on the tracks, folks.

    Oh boy.

    A few things -

    - That kid is dumb as shit.
    - How the fuck do you shoot 7 times at point blank range and only graze the kid once? I mean, that's a good thing I suppose, but what a terrible shot.
    - The cop was in the wrong too.
    - But so was the kid. The gene pool would be better off without him.
    - I'm kind of pissed off at people who are just losing their shit about the cop. Yeah, he's an asshole, but the kid is fucking worthless. If you're dumb enough to do what he did, I'm not sure you're much of a victim.

It really is getting absurd. The media has been bad the last decade, and this election they've hit rock bottom.

Speaking of Trump, all these people bitch incessantly about his immigration policy. Fine. Can anyone explain the liberal position on immigration? Is it let any and everyone in or you're a racist asshole? If so, go fuck yourself. I'll take the wall. At least that is a solution. And all this shit about how it's impossible to build one is just stupid. Of course it's possible. Whether it's as effective or has the price tag Trump suggests is another matter, but it's better than shoving your thumb up your ass and bragging about how socially conscience you are.

Edit: I just watched the video in that link. What a miserable snarky little cunt. Yeah, Trump made billions by bankrupting every business and throwing away everything in stupid investments. Cool Story. He only missed the part where 'if I had x money in x year and invested in blah blah blah I would have made so much more'. Fuck off.

Under Obama more people have been deported than ever before. If that is what you mean by the liberal position. Multiple sources in story: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...amned-lies-and-obamas-deportation-statistics/ Deporting people 9 times the rate of 20 years ago.

This weekend Trump even criticized Obama for deporting too many people.

So, this whole soft on illegals reporting is yet another easily debunked lie. It stems from Obama's amnesty program which he correctly claims previous administrations did before (work permits, deferred deportations). His takes it a step further attempting to fully legalize those with legal status kids and integrate them so they can pay a better share of taxes, since they are already here.

"Whereas many immigrants previously caught at the border simply were bused back to Mexico, they now are returned with official deportation orders, prosecuted, or moved to different parts of the border so they cannot reconnect with their smuggler, Martin said.

In short, these people previously would have been classified as a "return," but the policy has been to put them through removal proceedings. As such, they are classified as a "removal."

This means nothing. I just can't sit here and not post it. Perpetual psycho-jackass Sarah Palin said the Brexit was integral to not bringing about the apocalyptic one world government: https://www.washingtonpost.com/g00/...urce=fark&utm_medium=website&utm_content=link This creature could have been president.

I don't want to beat the Brexit stuff to death, but there's just so much BS around it. Now, 77,000 signatures on the petition for a Brexit do-over have been thrown out, including 39,000 from... The Vatican? http://www.theguardian.com/politics...urce=fark&utm_medium=website&utm_content=link More over, YOU DON'T GET A DO-OVER, IDIOTS.

But in much happier news, if anyone recalls the TX abortion law that went to the SC, as I said it would, it was annihilated 5-3. This was the case where Ginsburg poked so many holes in the prosecutor's case, so effortlessly, it looked like the condom Kim Kardashian gave Kanye to wear. I almost felt bad for him it was so savage. Almost. http://bigstory.ap.org/article/654a...reme-court-strikes-down-texas-abortion-clinic

Somebody needs stop him from apologizing and inform him on the fact that culture appropriation is not hateful, has no effect, and does not even exist at all.

People now pick fights with imaginary friends. Stay used to it.

This would be hilarious if it wasn't so pitiful. It's Onion tier, but sadly it's not satire.

Al Queda has come out and told lone wolf terrorists to target whites in the US so Obama and Loretta Lynch can't label a terrorist attack something else.

    http://www.foxnews.com/world/2016/0...s-to-avoid-hate-crime-label.html?intcmp=hpbt2

They probably should've said something about massacring co-workers too, because that will be labelled workplace violence.

Well, I really do think that the Olympics are going to be something to watch for everything except the sports.

I get home, hit Reddit, and this is at the top:

So, a German Chancelor wants to rule Europe. What could go wrong? This sounds suspiciously like when Hydra took over Shield from the inside.

I don't know, but this guy doesn't sound so crazy. He seems to have a pretty good argument.

I don't know what the economic fall out will be for Britain over the next few years, and I don't trust anyone on this board to know either. Regardless, I think the leave group absolutely made the right decision. The EU started out as a good idea, but has since become way too invasive. Personally, I would be really pissed off if so many laws I was supposed to follow were made by parties outside my country. I really don't get why the wealthy nations want to stay in. What good is it at this point? Even if the UK takes a big hit for the next five years it was still the right decision in the long run.

Toytoy linked a good article explaining why those numbers are problematic, but really, I don't care if he's deporting/returning/removing/whatever more, or less, or the same amount. It's not a solution. It's not anything close to a solution. I'm not really so concerned about criminals getting across or anything like that, but the border is so terribly regulated at this point, it seems like who stays and who goes back is practically random. It's not at all practical to try and deport all the illegals, or any such crazy shit Trump has said, but there needs to be an actual solution. I say give whoever is here that isn't a criminal a realistic path to citizenship, but find a way to secure the border before you do that, because if you do it and still have a more or less open border there's no reason not to just do it again, and again, and again.

I saw that earlier, and I'm just wondering if the Brazillians observed the shitshow that was the Olympics in Russia and were feeling competitive.

It's like the "news" organizations are trying to out-bias each other to cater to viewers / readers . . which, I guess they are.

Foxnews.com: House panel investigating Benghazi . . . Obama administration response — finds Clinton knowingly misled public

HuffPo.com: House Republicans Spent Millions Of Dollars On Benghazi Committee To Exonerate Clinton

CNN.com: 2-year Benghazi probe: No bombshell; administration faulted

I know they are trying to make money, like every other business, but I wish they'd just say that, instead of pretending they have some sort of even-handed "journalistic integrity."

Might be a better question for the Finance Thread, but with the recent dip in the stock market, should I throw some cash in? (I am completely ignorant when it comes to this stuff.) I have the usual 401k and IRA's but not trying to "play the market". I'd just put a lump sum in one of my IRA's if it's worth it.

I like to think the IOC is trying to outdo FIFA. It takes a very special organization to make the world cup a complete disaster in a country where soccer is a religion. That bar has been set high.
