That sex kitten of a now ex-wife is on the market. Maybe I'm weird but I have a crippling attraction to hot brown women.
You're not weird, you just sound like every other Texan I've ever known including me. My wife knows very well that pale white people, not matter how incredible the ass or boobs, are simply not something I'm attracted to. You could shove the most beautiful pair of natural all white meat tits in my face, just full on motor boat, and I'd be like nah, blocking my view of the game. Fortunately the Italian in my wive gives her that olive skin and perpetual tan. We call them "brown belly mattress thrashers" down here. They squirm like a stuck pig and are hornier than a durian fruit.
I get that this is probably more WDT material, but hey, happens here, entertainment knows no bounds. My wife is the same way. She'll go from Italian skin to damn fucking black in like a weekend. Her stomach is very italian right now because, baby. But memorial day, she has bikinis (and I have tie down straps), and she'll go insta-tan in like a day. Meanwhile, I go either all sunscreen and no tan, or fucking burnt to skin cancer. Damn those tan lines though.
Tennessee has passed Senate Bill 723,. It bans safe spaces, barring speakers on disagreements, and defines what constitutes harassment. I really wish every state would pass a similar bill.
The state that really needs a bill like that is California. Personally I think it's perfectly reasonable given how much federal funding these schools get.
The people walking out of Mike Pence's commencement speech. What a bunch of pussies. You dont have to like the guy or support his policies, but the Vice President is giving a non-political commencement speech at your college, perhaps a little respect is in order. It would be nice if these retarded white people stopped acting like the vanguard of all social justice at every turn. No one is keeping score. No one cares. You cant just sit there like an adult?
This was my point in the political thread. The left isn't responding to the "but they're being mean to me" whining from the right anymore. Rules have changed.
Then why do people keep posting about it? I don't care that they walked out. I don't care that students stayed. It's their graduation for fucks sake, if they don't want to hear someone speak they shouldn't have to. I would take a lot more issue with it if they actually disrupted his speech. By throwing things or making noise, etc. but they didn't they walked out. Why is it even news?
I guess Ill have to catch up on that thread, I'm a bit behind. Without having the benefit of reading your post yet, I think it goes to both sides, just in different ways. I mean, this thread is a reaction to current events, is it not? Just seems odd that "respect for the office" is no longer a thing, and again, that goes for both sides.
I kind of think that If you're going to bring in a political speaker then expect political reactions. That being said, not everything has to be about "making a stand". More people need to listen to people that don't agree with them.
I'm with you on that. I tend to think that if you are fortunate enough to have the VP speak at your college, thats pretty much a once in a lifetime event, even if you think he's a theocratic asshole. I think its a better story to tell people years later that you got to see the soon-to-be resigned vice president speak at your graduation than to tell people that you threw a tantrum at your college graduation.
Back in 2008 (I think), George Bush was asked to speak at Furman University for their Commencement. A number of faculty and students were opposed to the idea. Petitions and counter petitions were started. There ended up being some pretty nasty things back and forth across their campus message board. But, ultimately, he came and spoke. There were some peaceful protests during his arrival, and a group of professors stood silently in the back during the ceremony wearing white T-shirts that read "We Object". In the weeks leading up to the event, there were a number of forums / discussions held for the exchange of ideas, and it prompted some excellent dialogue and policies. I'm glad it all went down that way. Bush was the first sitting president to speak at Furman like that. If somebody works really hard to graduate from college, and then the ceremony is dominated by loud protests or other distractions, that would suck.
I think it sucks that their walking out on Pence has become what the news story is about because that's all they wanted out of it. But to think that the culmination of their college career was them protesting the guest speaker, seems like a waste to me.
