The dude had to undergo special "anti-racist" training as a result of his previous actions... and it was during the test after that training he reverted back to his normal racist behaviour. That's not just my feeling... that's what made it out to the media. Read the fucking link I posted. "The Idiot Board" was supposed to be ironic, for fuck sake.
Maybe its just not displaying properly on my phone but i saw no mention of "special anti-racist" training. "Prevent pr problems" isnt quite the same thing. Also that would be public stuff and I think that was about the anthem protests.
I don't think it was just sagging sales that made Peyton Manning ditch his 31 Papa John's franchise, and then the NFL bailed on their partnership right after that, just earlier this year.
I found it hilarious that the guy was basically a drunk shit show in most of the public pics you saw of him at sporting events, etc. It was like "frat bro drunk dude runs national pizza company".
Better article- https://www.cbsnews.com/news/papa-j...atter-racial-slur-n-word/?ftag=CNM-00-10aab4i Lolz words.
It is what it is. With that it looks like a lot more than just a “slip”, in some ways it was spun like he was basically bugged in a personal moment. If he has actual racist issues, then you back away. Just like the American Apparel incident with that not-creepy-whatsoever charming rascal of a CEO Dov Charney and his “busy little hands”. He gotta go, son.
Being upset that the anthem protests cost you money isnt racist.... its a racially charged issue, yes. The meeting was about that and people being upset about him being against them... thats not special anti racism training.
But is it racist to question why it was ok for Colonel Sanders to call black people n-words during racial sensitivity training? And if not, is it racsit after you describe the beating of minorities?
He was Chairman and CEO and the public face of the company. Perhaps the Board considered him too much of a liability, since he clearly wasn’t getting the message. It doesn’t matter if it’s internal or external or some non-racist context. Public perception and stock prices dont care. After repeated fuck ups they decided to cut the loss. I wouldn’t call it an overreaction.
From the article: Know how I know someone is a liability to the company? Also this is just not something you say in any context, unless that context is your therapist's office where you're working to get your issues straightened out. Still like their pizza though. Hopefully this will make the prices go down.
The childish bickering is hilarious in a sad way for a billionaire that has don't quite a lot. I bet he and Mark Cuban duke it out for the presidency in 2024.
I disagree with your choice of current phrase that 'the optics are not good." I suspect Musk will not end up as the one looking like an idiot between he and "pedo guy." Pedo guy complained about the specifics of the sub design, which Musk copied his correspondence to show he was asking for input such as how long, how flexible, or other such constraints. And, they also had a flexible device of some sort available there.
I didn't really follow the whole cave rescue, what would Musk's reason for calling him a Pedo? Did the dude act weird towards the kids when the situation was on going or something? Maybe has questionable behavior in the past Im not aware of? Seems insanely childish on Musk part though.
There's also the fact that Musk was actually on-site there, so may have had some personal interactions with the guy that we obviously don't know about. I kinda view Musk like I do Dana White from the UFC... they're not your typical CEO of a company... they say and do some shit that you just don't expect. Sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's cringe worthy... but I still don't want either of them to change. WAY better than most heavily PR-filtered communications.
Dude PR and political filtered "statements" suck ass all night long. This type of twitter dick slappery is just as nauseating, one of the worst outgrowths of our modern culture. I'd hope he could find a better middle ground of being a fun outgoing guy and letting his achievements speak for themselves vs this level of nonsense.
