The ones that are animated sequences of podcast segments drawn Bojack-style are hilarious too. They are so perfectly done:
Anyone here in the coastal section of the Carolinas? If so, I hope you are paying attention and making final preparations now. From the looks of the forecast and the days that will follow landfall, this is going to be total devastation. I faintly recall seeing the aftermath of Hugo as a child on TV; it looks like this will be a repeat of that storm only this time Florence is going to make landfall and sit down for a few days. I can't even imagine what the flooding East of the Appalachians is going to look like.
Highway lanes are reversing at noon today for mandatory evacuations. I'm about 150 miles inland so I'm probably just looking at a bunch of rain. Really need that thing to bounce North. This would make the 3 time in 4 years with some form of natural disaster and I'm not sure our coast can take it. The tourist places get up and running quick, but there's rural areas still recovering from 2015.
My grandma lives just south of the N/S Carolina border about half a mile from the coastline. My mom, aunts and uncles can't convince her to go somewhere inland. She's a stubborn lady, but she made it through Hugo fine so...
My sister lives in Norfolk, VA. They are figuring out their plan now but can’t leave until their zone gets mandatorily evacuated since my brother-in-law is in the Navy. Their original plan was to head to Roanaoke, but they’re probably better off stay in Norfolk than doing that at this point. They’ll probably head to DC area.
I live right where it’s going to hit(beach town in NC). Preparingas best we can, sending my daughter inland.
Sometimes minor wind patterns can change it - I'm surprised it hasn't turned towards Georgia any, as hard as the Falcons suck.
I feel like these are really good editing exercises for film students. Just give them a cache of Joe Rogan interviews and tell them to cut it into something coherent where one person is on both sides of the conversation.
Investigative journalism isn’t dead. Reporter goes undercover to reveal Ticketmaster is hiring professional scalpers to rip off customers. This is a company that already makes its profits simply by hiking up prices for no reason. These people should be buried alive. https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/a-...its-pros-for-secret-scalper-program-1.4828535
I have never agreed more with anything you've ever written on TiB. I hate TicketBastard with the hot fire of a thousand suns. I hope that before burying them alive, they have holes drilled in their eyeballs and that Red Devil turpentine is poured into the bloody wound holes.
I would LOVE them to get caught up in a big RICO thing and see some serious repercussions come of it. Somewhere, off in the rain forests of Seattle, Eddie Vedder has a raging boner.
Like Alan Cross said “This could be a PR nightmare”. I certainly fucking hope so. Wonder if/how Stubhub is going to capitilize this info.
