There were two shooters and one person falsely claimed to have been a shooter. We shall henceforth refer to them as Mr. AK-47, The Driver, and "I'm MAKIN it my bidness!"
Well, the Driver definitely started things. On a red light he drove directly into the midst of people who were nowhere near him, not antagonizing anybody. It looked bad. The amount of time before people who notice start running over to see why the guy did it, shots ring out and people scatter. It was all so fast. Somebody came enraged and wanting to throw down. Now most of you know better than me so this is only a question: in that amount of time, IF this driver was a shooter, he wasn’t exactly reaching under the seat or into his glovebox for his gun, right? He’d have to have it in hand or right next to him, right? Ready to go? Here is a (non violent)angle, it all happens in seconds: https://twitter.com/chadloder/status/1287279078186205184?s=21
that video makes me thinking he was turning right on red, which is legal. Do we have any info confirming or denying that’s what he did? regarding how quickly the shots were fired, yeah absolutely that’s plausible. I carry about 4:00, you could easily draw and fire that fast assuming your hand doesn’t snag on the seat belt. Faster if he was carrying appendix, which is what all the cool kids do these days. As to whether that individual could do that, in that specific circumstance, under duress, I just don’t know. But it is plausible. Doesn’t sound like the rounds fired came from a rifle of any kind, sounds like they were all pistol, and I’m guessing 9mm specifically going off the audio I heard, not that it matters. Reckless speculation is that the driver saw a dude approach him while carrying a gun, felt he was in fear of imminent harm and fired in self defense. He called 911 shortly after leaving the scene and reported the shooting, which indicates some he most likely did not do it out of malice. Reports are that someone fired at the fleeing vehicle, which without further information I am not sure if that was legal or not. based off what I’ve read, looks like a case of everyone sucks. Sucks that it happened. Protesters shouldn’t have been in the streets because that’s where cars are and they were blocking traffic. Driver should have avoided that area. Open carry, while legal, I still think is pretty fucking stupid. And in this case I think that’s what got him killed. He was presumed to be a threat due to context. edit to add: also, notice in the videos how they surrounded the car. Pretty fucking stupid. We’ve all seen the videos of what can happen when people surround a vehicle. Drivers get pulled out and their asses beat. Add to that, the dude walked up with a visible firearm. Even if the motorist was running a red light (was he scared by the amount of people? These things will be brought up at trial), there’s still a legitimate fear when your vehicle is surrounded. Again, smart thing to do would have been to avoid the area. But what if he didn’t know and got stuck there and was trying to get out? Smart thing for the protesters to do would have been to get out of the way and let him pass. You’re in the road. That’s where cars are. Don’t go running up to them and then get pissed off when drivers in cars do driving things.
https://medium.com/@gavrilodavid/why-derek-chauvin-may-get-off-his-murder-charge-2e2ad8d0911 Sell anything you have in Minneapolis now.... "These six facts are as follows: George Floyd was experiencing cardiopulmonary and psychological distress minutes before he was placed on the ground, let alone had a knee to his neck. The Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) allows the use of neck restraint on suspects who actively resist arrest, and George Floyd actively resisted arrest on two occasions, including immediately prior to neck restraint being used. The officers were recorded on their body cams assessing George Floyd as suffering from “excited delirium syndrome” (ExDS), a condition which the MPD considers an extreme threatto both the officers and the suspect. A white paper used by the MPD acknowledges that ExDS suspects may die irrespective of force involved. The officers’ response to this situation was in line with MPD guidelines for ExDS. Restraining the suspect on his or her abdomen (prone restraint) is a common tactic in ExDS situations, and the white paper used by the MPD instructs the officers to control the suspect until paramedics arrive. Floyd’s autopsy revealed a potentially lethal concoction of drugs — not just a potentially lethal dose of fentanyl, but also methamphetamine. Together with his history of drug abuse and two serious heart conditions, Floyd’s condition was exceptionally and unusually fragile. Chauvin’s neck restraint is unlikely to have exerted a dangerous amount of force to Floyd’s neck. Floyd is shown on video able to lift his head and neck, and a robust study on double-knee restraints showed a median force exertion of approximately approximately 105lbs." God save me from cop's medical assessments and Trump's medical advice. Jesus wept.
Well, it’s a good thing they choked him to death. He was about to die horribly from a drug overdose. Meanwhile in Aurora, their cowardly and impossibly retarded police dragged a family of innocent black girls out of their van and made them lie face down on hot asphalt in the summer, in broad daylight. A four year old girl had a gun pointed to the back in f her head while doing so. Why? They mistook their van for a stolen motorcycle. I cannot make this shit up. Because the cops are always the good guys. Right?
Sometimes they're following ridiculous orders. People spray painting obscenities and hateful language on public buildings? Let them be. Writing in chalk on a public sidewalk? Arrest those bastards!
This simply was cop stupidity by a pathetic police department that specializes in corruption and shitting the bed. There was no excuse for this, I don’t care what they say or anybody says. They are fucking sociopaths.
When you say "this," do you mean the George Floyd incident or the college students arrested for writing in sidewalk chalk?
I’m talking about the stupid cops of Aurora (Seriously— simply google “Aurora Police“ and watch what comes up) who made a family of Black girls (ages 6 to 17) lie on asphalt in over 100 F heat and pointed guns at their heads because the retards mistook their van for a stolen, out-of-state motorcycle. But the things you mentioned are also stupid.
Aurora police are the most useless sacks of excrement to ever don a uniform. This on the heels of the Elijah McLain debacle too.
Let’s not leave out the cop caught in camera driving five times over the legal limit, passes out at the wheel, gets broken out of the cruiser by his fellow cops.... and the chief not only refuses to charge or even PUNISH him, he blocks it long enough that the DA isn’t even allowed to charge him. People in that city should sneer and spit every time they see a cop. And they have the nerve wonder why taxpayers want them defunded.
Just quickly: Spoiler If you're bringing a rifle with a tripod and a scope to a protest, it's not for self defense. You do not need to use deadly force to defend yourself against someone that is so far away they can't be clearly seen with the naked eye.
That's not a sniper rifle. It is only tangentially a bipod. That is a foregrip on an AR. That isn't a powered scope, just an aimpoint red dot. If you consider sniping from 300M in then yes but a real sniper rifle is something else. EDIT: That's not to say there probably isn't a sniper there. Let's face it, there are militias that show up to these things and they are looking for a fight. If you are looking for a fight, you better be prepared to fight. LARPing around, toting a rifle and mean-mugging people is one thing but prepared to fight is another. The real militias will have a sniper there but he will be concealed and when it kicks off he will pin the opposing force down while his team bounds to the flank and wipes out those who oppose them.
scary gun had it's intended effect I think. Not that I agree with it, but they would definitely get their "lulz" if they knew someone called the VFG a tripod. That thing is a "tripod" in the same way my dick is a leg.
I’ll have you know he’s the AR-15 150 yard benchrest champion at his local Piggly Wiggly, and is up against Dale Dribble for presidency as a result.
