    On 2nd-degree murder? No way. If he only got convicted of manslaughter he might have skated after ~4 years, but with the 3rd and 2nd-degree murder charges as well he'll be sentenced to real time. His best bet now is on appeal, not on a light sentence.

    I can happily say I didnt watch a single second of the trial. Read articles and headlines. Having the guy pass out and stop breathing with a knee on his neck on camera youd have to be a miracle worker to put reasonable doubt it could have been something else. Of course Maxine Waters flapped her gums and he has a legit appeal angle. I dont see an appellate court overturning all of this work for that though.

    Plus, the jury was sequestered. They were not supposed to have been able to know she even said anything. Whether juries actually follow the rules when they are sequestered or not is a different story.
