Depends what type of chemical weapon. I've been waging biological warfare against my wife every morning for the last almost 12 years and nothing has come of it.

Then this is obviously a false flag, right?
Because if the Ukrainians smelt it…

It's kind of mind-blowing that we're questioning the validity of claims of genocide, not in a systematic, "hey we need to be sure", evidence-cataloging way, but in a "I don't trust nothin, and I wish Putin would send me a DM" kind of way.

Like....I've been in some emergency scenarios where early information is inaccurate, or changes rapidly. A lot of the problems with information's reliability comes down to chaotic bad luck. Like, the cut off for reporting is at 1700 and 0500 and if you don't have cell signal, or you were on the phone with one person and another one couldn't get through, or the light was blinking green and you thought that meant good, when it means something else, etc. etc.

The idea of inside a literal warzone, that you can coordinate lies well enough to fool anyone, much less the millions of cameras pointed at this conflict, and risk all the international goodwill Ukraine has amassed during this conflict to achieve....what, exactly....is so stupid, I'd have more readily believed Putin had deployed the fucking X-men to go into Chernobyl than Ukraine massacreing it's own citizens to make Russia look bad.

Not saying every word of what's coming out of this conflict is true, because it's a fucking war zone. The time, safety, space and resources to investigate and verify are simply in short supply. But the idea that Russia is the victim of a smear campaign perpetuated by a country they invaded is kind of like someone in the KKK complaining about a singed robe from burning down someone's home. And folks like Tucker Carlson "merely asking questions" is so fucking absurd, it makes me wonder why you'd risk siding with Russia and what possible benefit could be derived from taking their side right now?

I'm sure some friendly fire or some uncouth fuckery took place. En masse, and in front of the international community? Naw. That looks, smells and sounds too much like duck to be a fucking turkey.

Some type of mass shooting on ny subway with multiple bomb devices found. Literally just happened so the news is scattered but this sounds like a big deal

Looking like they weren't bombs, but something akin to smoke grenades.

It looks like he waited until the doors were shut and the train started moving before setting off a smoke device and firing on people in the train car. A lot of subway services are partially suspended, a couple lines are suspended entirely. I’m lucky that I don’t use that train normally; but I have to go to class later, fingers crossed I’ll be able to get there.

I've always had what I thought was an irrational fear of someone doing something like that on a subway -- waiting until it left the stop then going off either with a gun or knife or bomb or whatever. Guess maybe it's not so irrational anymore. I've been to NYC a few times, took the subways once, said fuck that afterward.

It’s not unprecedented for someone to attack people on a moving train, the scariest example I can think of is Aum Shinrikyo’s sarin gas attack on the Tokyo subway system. Luckily the sarin was not well made or it would have been more deadly, but it was still horrific. I think it’s one of those things that we’re not used to seeing in the US because we don’t have as many trains.

I feel like subways would be more of a prime target for it, though, because we’re trained to ignore anything weird because we don’t want it paying attention to us. There’s whole IG accounts dedicated to the freaks of the subway world, so would a guy wearing an orange vest and a gas mask really get much notice other than “don’t make eye contact?”

If anyone was curious why I thought Don't Look Up was so good, it's because the satire was pitch perfect:

Agreed, but the Predator’s weapon arsenal was WAY cooler in that movie than the original. And it had Morton Downey Jr. in it.

Oh come on, it wasn't THAT bad.
The only thing really bad about it was that CGI fog at the end.

Y'all can shut your whore mouths. Anything with Gary Busey, Bill Paxton and a motherfucking murderous alien was worth $8 and 2 hours in 1992, not to mention the GLORIOUS backdrop of peak LA gang crime.

Arnold's was a better film, but Danny Glover's was better entertainment.

If I want a 90s action movie with great depictions of LA gang crime I’ll watch Demolition Man.
