Short version: no executive of consequence is thinking that Elon is a role model right now... they are laughing and pointing and saying "what a fucking moron."
I should also point out that another major driver for layoffs is the failing/falling stock market. As share prices drop, company valuations drop, so executive teams are pressured to "do something" to help improve shareholder value... so they need to do something to help improve the share price. Layoffs and other cost spending reductions help to show that kind of "fiscal responsibility" are things they like to talk about during earnings calls to help get stock prices to move back up.
Is it though? My company just did a layoff, and they kept me, so clearly they're not getting rid of the useless bloat.
Elon just reinstated Trump's twitter account. I'm sure this will really help out with Trump's alternative app that was already so well used...
Musk didn't even have the courage to do it himself; he put up a sham poll and pawned off a decision he had clearly already made as being the "voice of the people." aka the dickriders that follow his account.
Yeah I read it by user poll, which is a pretty odd way to make decisions. I just think it’s funny that there’s going to be some Thanksgiving dinners ruined by this.
Is it really that big of a deal that Trump is back on Twitter? There are definitely worse people on there
There is zero chance Musk hadn't decided whether or not to unban Trump since before he acquired Twitter. The fact that he's claiming he left it up to a poll to decide is just a display of contempt for the intelligence of the users on Twitter who support him.
LOL exactly. It’s like when I was a kid and saw a stadium soccer riot occur for the first time, it was like “Wow, there’s an entire culture of lunatics out there that I don’t ever have to worry about being attached to.”
They're really trying to convince us that a naturally occurring SV engineering team doesn't have a fat white guy in it. Even Gavin knows this is bullshit
23 shot, 5 dead in LGBTQ nightclub shooting in Colorado Springs. Suspect is injured but in custody now. According to a statement released by Club Q, the customers were the ones who subdued the attacker.
I don’t know if it’s true with anyone else, but my Twitter timeline is completely broken. Either the people I follow have all left or they just quit posting. But my entire timeline is nothing but weird ads and promoted tweets for bizarre shit I’m not interested in. If this was Elon’s goal, then kudos to him, I guess.
It’s almost like those microservices that feed those personalized timelines are broken or something. Go figure.
Right? The worse this gets, the more I think this was his ultimate goal. Plus, he gets to destroy a “punitive” left-wing information space.
