    If it is, it isn't being reported that way right now. Apparently, we also wanted a former marine that Russia imprisoned for spying, but didn't have a Russian spy to trade for him.

    I'm not hopeful that this isn't anything more than our weakness displayed before the world.

    yeah that was my thinking. No way this happens unless the dude flipped and wants to use connections against Putin now. He will be under constant surveillance for the rest of his life regardless. I don't have faith in the administration for doing this, but I do have A LOT of faith in the US intelligence apparatus.
