Now I’m interested to see if all the right wing people I know will post about this being a shooter who was groomed by the FBI, like they do with every other one.
HOLY SHIT, KAHN WAS RIGHT! Yeah, since it's not a white male (a REAL male, anyway), they will frame this as a gun problem for the next few news cycles, until the next mass-shooting event happens, which by my count will be by the end of the week. I'm not even being facetious, that's how often they are happening now. "Trans gun-person" doesn't fit the narrative, and doesn't breed the outrage - not amongst the right people, anyway. Actually, it WOULD be pretty funny if they tried to spin this as another "disaffected white male" committing a pointless act of violence... We'll just have to see.
Chaz Bono did interviews and said he couldn't stop looking at titties when he started taking testosterone. Sums it up quite nicely.
Tucker Carlson does a whole segment about how you should be afraid of trans people with guns, and then days later, this? Obvious false flag, deep state, state run media at FOX. All a huge setup by the FBI and other agencies. Probably crisis actors.
It's nice to see you all got jokes for this one. It's just Christian children, lol! Peckerheads. This might actually be one where we can sympathize with the shooter even. A trans person, and former student of christian elementary school, shoots up said christian school. I imagine their parents sent them to this place, and the ridicule and loneliness they must have gone thru in that school. They likely already knew they weren't like the other kids, and the other kids probably sensed it, too, whether the shooter tried to hide or not. It's fucking sad. People fucking suck.
No joking was intended, just reacting to a situation with thoughts. I mean, it sucks - this shit happens and we’re not very personally affected by it, and our minds start running down the list of “how will shitty people react to it.” I'm not loitering on the Nashville subreddit, but their mods are exhausted today. It is good to see that a lot of people are taking the majority stance of “shooters fucking suck” and also taking the “everybody making this very political fucking sucks” stance.
I get it, it's a shitty thing to happen, and I'm sorry it did, but it's also not fucking normal, at all. In the real world, I should never have to hear about it, because it's a crazy outlier that will never happen anywhere near me and have any impact to me. Instead, this will now be the focus of the North American MSM as they proclaim this the next scourge of humanity. So yeah, part of me will want to make jokes about the absurdity of the global spectacle, but at some level, it deserves it. And a natural reaction to dealing with shitty things in life is to make fun of them. Per @NatCH 's comment, the /r/nashville sub is the PERFECT place to be impacted by this, because it happened to them, locally. If my local /r/london sub starts going off about it, fuck them. So yeah, it sucks, but overall more than anything I'm indifferent. I'm much more upset over the local soccer mom that got wine drunk and wiped out her car killing the 2 kids in it.
Should've saved his "vengeful rage" for faculty and left the children alone, then. "Trans shooter STORMS school and MURDERS six good, innocent Christians" is the *eternal* headline from this point on. Audrey/Aiden didn't live to see the absolute shitstorm he/she has unleashed. The anti-Trans barely needed an excuse before, now they have a crusade.
Real or perceived social ostracization, is a driving factor in many mass shootings. It's also a contributing factor in many foreign influenced homegrown violent extremist acts of violence.
Top story on HuffPost completely leaves out key demographic detail. Only useful when it suits a narrative. It is sick how these shootings have become a political football. Aetius ‘ fbi post is honestly part of the conservative base’s thought process. I see it in gun forums when these shootings happen. I could write a flow chart of the breakdown. First reports of an active shooter, what part of the city is it? Is it the ghetto so we can write it off as gang related? No, nicer part of town. Could it be a muzzie terror attack we can write off as poor immigration laws? No reports are saying a white person. More common these days it turns to “could it be part of the mentally ill alphabet crowd?” No, the social media of the shooter, before it’s scrubbed, indicates cis white boy. Why was his social media locked down and scrubbed? Was he known to the fbi? Then we can write it off as either a failure of laws already in place or attribute it to a psyop the liberal powers that be let happen, or had a hand in, to erode gun rights. It gets pretty gross.
The media discourse on issues has severely warped people's brains to the point where they (we) don't even realize that everyone falls into similar thought patterns every time some event happens. It's rare you see an independent or truly variable perspective on an issue that get's widespread attention.
School shootings are terrible. No matter who is the shooter, they all have two things in common: guns and mental illness. At least this time, the cops did a good job. 15 minutes from the 911 call, the shooter was neutralized. There was no clusterfuck meeting in the hallway with cops sanitizing their hands first. They showed up, they saved lives. I know the other children, teachers and families are grateful.
For those who want to, the body cam footage: https://youtu.be/Ue2tZa4hT0c Graphic things blurred out…I give them props for their fast response.
Some will say "pity the poor Trans, his demons got the best of him". All I see is an animal that needed putting down. Kudos to these Officers for their rapid response in moving to the objective. Uvalde will never live down their shame.
One of the things that gets me is Americans insisting that something is impossible in theory, despite it already existing in practice elsewhere in the world. Happens with universal healthcare, public transit, and of course, preventing gun crime.
