I'm far too lazy and self-indulgent to engage in a lifestyle that forces me to perform meaningful chores every day in order to not die.
You want ME in your movie, baby? You want to be a STAR, baby? Let me just slide my hand down inside those pants, baby.
The absolute worst thing about Facebook, particularly as we get to middle age and it happens more and more, is when people post that someone has died and does not tell how they died. If you’re not going to tell the whole story, fuck off. I want to be told, early on, so I don't have to awkwardly ask someone. Recently, I had no idea an old friend died in a car accident, I just thought it was a heart attack. I didn't find out for months, until we ran into his wife. Nobody said anything about a car accident.
Three people just died of trying to live "off the grid". Folks today don't understand what a primitive lifestyle that really is.
Has anyone seen Sound of Freedom? I saw the trailer and wasn't impressed so never bothered with the movie but it's going gangbusters and all over the news with the Right cheering it and the Left hating it.
It was just "fine." Not really memorable or worth rewatching. Glad I pirated it instead of going to see it. Mission Impossible was also nothing special.
Based on nothing more than vibes, my assumption is the movie itself is mediocre, but not terrible, but everyone involved in it is the deepest kind of weirdo.
Based on the reviews I've seen, it's just a more boring version of 'Taken.' They literally never mention anything about Q-Anon, Pizzagate, the Deep State, or Hillary's emails in the movie. Kind of a bait and switch if you ask me.
An agent I know that's actually worked human trafficking cases has said it's about as realistic as UFOs, which is why conspiracy people think it's outstanding
It's a movie that was made in 2018 and then shelved, likely because of Caviezel going off the deep end and nobody wanting him on their slate. It just so happens that 5 years later, there's all the bad faith talk of librarian groomers and "won't you think of the children??" and whoever had bought the rights saw their chance to hit for maximum effect. Not to mention the whole "pay it forward" campaign which is why so many theaters are empty despite being Sold Out. Because the tickets were sold, but no one showed up to redeem.
Hollywood has a tough time getting ME to go to a theater to see anything. It has to look amazing to get me in a seat. The Sound of Freedom looks bad. I tell you what will get me in a seat... In theaters Aug 4.
