There is so much wrong to this I don't know where to begin. It's already retarded enough that prostution was outlawed to begin with, but no, let's dox people in real life because WE have the moral high ground. I've really had it with the generic bullshit dodge of "Hey, as long as you aren't doing X you have nothing to worry about!" Really? Ask the victims of those so-called cops in Alabama. In this age, you CAN be doing nothing wrong and have plenty to worry about. This is a disgusting privacy violation regardless of laws or morals. They have no consideration of the dangerous/violent impulses that crimes of passion can cause.
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/ala-lawmaker-warns-non-american-stores-article-1.2450943 'Some users questioned how the ill-advised lawmaker could figure out which stores were owned by Americans and which were not. Here are some tips from the ill-advised lawmaker: - "Look behind the cash register" - "The [stores] with the lights around the windows and doors are not owned by God fearing Christians" - "I have seen store owners across the South post 'American Owned' in their store windows"' Racism is not exclusive to any place, but it is prevalent and part of the culture of the south. I have seen it, lived it, and read it extensively. Nothing will change my mind. The above is an actual representative encouraging people to boycott stores owned by people of dubious color and heritage. I'm not sure he understands sales, property, and income taxes either.
Alan, my coworker is a naturalized American citizen from the Middle East who has done quiet well for himself and his brother and him also invested in multiple convenience stores under a company that his brother runs. They regularly send money back home to their parents and other sister who aren't as financially successful. But their store is "American Owned". How does that fall into your plan your walrus faced fuckstick?
It's part of the culture anywhere in the world that has groups of people from different backgrounds living in close proximity. To say it's part of the culture of the South is painting with just as broad a brush as Alan Harper is.
So a picture that is at least 15 years old and picture of roughly 25 stupid people equates the culture of an entire region in present day? Gotcha.
That is the SC capitol building until recently, as in a few months ago. I'm assuming you live in the south. If you do not see an inherent, tacit acceptance of racism, I don't know what to tell you and I'm just crowing on deaf ears. That's all I'm saying about this topic.
That flag was removed from the dome in 2000 so the first photo certainly can't be from a few months ago. Thankfully it was completely removed recently, and despite those idiots was removed faster than I've ever seen a government entity work. I'm not saying that the South doesn't have a bad past, but painting the culture of the current South as such in the face of what actually happens is lazy and dishonest.
Dear Alan Harper, Fuck You. Fuck your jingoism, fuck your far right Christianity, fuck your Christmas - but most of all fuck you.
Fuck Christmas? C'mon bro. Christmas is the tits. I do like how he acknowledges that hes "painting with a broad brush." (And thats not jingoism...)
My mistake, it was flown in front of the building, not on top. Other protesters demanded it be taken down from the dome because it is a symbol of ignorance and sedition. That means everything I've said is wrong and Ted Cruz is automatically president. Don't call me dishonest. I'm backing my points up with actual facts. You are saying "nuh uh" while plugging your ears.
What facts? A picture of some protestors and a flag that has been removed? Walter Scott, Dylan Roof, and George Stinney Jr. are all examples of how the South (at least South Carolina admittedly) has actually handled racially charged instances as of late as we move forward from a shameful past, but we're still looked upon as a bunch of racist hicks.
I find this interesting because I've never heard this take before, and it is not at all my experience. The racist people I've known had deeply racist parents without exception, who in turn had parents who lived through and supported the jim crow laws. Are you really sure you can discount the historical significance, which is so rife with not only community prejudices, but legislated racism as well? I've heard racist idiots claim they get their prejudice from what's happening around them, but in truth it's after the fact. They grew up listening to their dip shit dad rant about niggers- how they're all criminals, how none of them want to work, they just want to take white people's money, fucking liberals give them 700 gazillion a year and all they do with it is buy crack, yada yada. They filter the world through their upbringing. I've never personally known anyone who didn't grow up racist and then became racist after gaining more world experience and being exposed to more black people.
Ummm... no, there is more racism in the south. That is a fact. If I said black people commit a disproportionate number of violent crimes, that would also be a fact. At least to me the distinction isn't actually that subtlety different from just saying southerners are a bunch of racists and black people are criminals.
Here's one study. Here's another. Look, I really don't care if you don't like the sources, or the studies. I'm sure you won't since you seem to be in denial about this. As I've said, I've lived in both the north and south and the difference between the levels of racism was about as obvious as saying the sky is blue. For fun, here's a literacy test given to southern blacks, errrr potentially unqualified voters in 1960s.
Oh, one thing I forgot to add. The whole sprinkling crack on black guys has been a thing for awhile. Especially during the War on Drugs' prime. Even Dave Chappelle had an entire joke about it 15 years ago. That news coming out surprised 0 black people over the age of 21. I linked where the bit starts and it goes through about 2 minutes.
So two studies one of which states "The process was not scientific nor can it be claimed that it gives the most accurate ranking of racism by state," and the other a legal brief relating to a policy already declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court? Neither make things a fact.
