It's the source of the Abrahamic religions. It is not, however, the oldest monotheistic religion. Zoroastrianism is far older.
As much as I don’t care for Zoro OR his religion, it is no longer the problem. Christianity, Judaism and Islam are all still a big fucking problem for the rest of us who don’t live in a fantasy world of cosmic monsters and virgins who give birth.
Even as the writings recorded as those important to Judaism were written down, those people were still figuring out if they believed in one god, multiple gods with one main god, or what. And, the people in this region were fighting then. The Garden of Eden was in Iraq, for crying out loud. You could turn the Dome of the Rock to a dusty memory, and unless the people are also vaporized, they will continue to fight. They'll be fighting tomorrow, the rest of this year, next year and 100 years from now.

There are lots of stories of war and battles in the Bible and the Quran, and both texts tell of leaders asking for and being granted divine power to slay their enemies. The same people are fighting calling on the same god today. It's not going to be any different.
