When they were releasing the first court artist rendering of her everyone was talking shit about the artist, saying they were being cruel to her... then they saw a real life pic and changed their mind... the artists were being overly kind in their renderings. Still... they managed to "misplace" $8 billion. I'd fuck a lot of ugly for that.
I think you guys are being a little unfair to her about her looks. She was never a looker, but I reckon 100% fair to say that the stress of the trial and such has taken a toll for the worse. Now, if you want to rag on her for making the smart moves after her boyfriend was about to get run up by the feds so she could get off _way_ easy despite being a complete monster, weapons free. I also think they're getting it harder than some of the other crytpo asshole because they were poly weirdos who did the whole "we live frugally" thing to pull the wool over the eyes of the general public. America seems to respect rich assholes when they behave like rich assholes.
That is exactly it. Be a rich asshole, be a thief, be a con artist; just be honest about it and we'll "respect the hustle". I'll point you to that college admissions scandal: two famous actresses committed the same crime, one pled guilty and did her time, the other gave bullshit excuses left and right. Today, who do you see as the face of the whole scandal?
So I haven't been following this stuff too closely, but apparently the whole Hamas thing of "hiding amongst the civilians" is.... not working out well. I totally understand that the realities of war are not pretty, and that if your enemy is going to stoop to a certain level, and you want to beat them, then you have to meet them at that level. But still. I'm not sure Israel is garnering any sympathy by in the last few days: - bombing the fuck out of a refugee camp because a Hamas leader was there - destroying ambulances with missiles because they had intelligence that Hamas fighters were riding along with the people being amubu...lated? - just now they bombed a bunch of buildings which caught on fire, and now the fire cannot be put out because they also destroyed the water pump station
