You hear one guy literally saying, "I don't need guns, I need fire extinguishers!" Yet, the cop still keeps pointing the gun at the nearly dead man. It's insane.
And the cop with the gun was closer to the correct distance from the fire, per class b extinguisher instructions, than the people trying to put the man out. 8 feet, squeeze and sweep spray back and forth.
If you shoot him, do you have the pressing need to put out the fire? And if you shoot him then, will the coroner list you as cause of death, or would he already be dead due to the self-immolation? So many questions... for science...
Yes, but qualified immunity states the cop is not responsible, not matter what. So if we are being technical, the IDF just committed murder by proxy. They caused the guy to set himself on fire which CAUSED the retard to shoot him in panic.
But, you need a permit to have an open fire in DC. So shooting would probably be justifiable because laws were broken.
More about shooting him before he can trigger the detonator. Really only applies if the idea was to draw in first responders and then detonate (which to be fair, similar has been a tactic before).
when all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail when all you have is a gun, everything needs a shootin
It’s a good thing cops here aren’t trained to shoot at centre mast as a first option, because you guys should see how many oak trees we have around here. It would feel like Cosmo the Chinese kid throwing ladyfingers around the mansion in Boogey Nights.
Slightly off-topic: What the hell was up with that character? It always seemed really weird that He was there.
I don't know if y'all watched Monday's "The Daily Show" with John Stewart again this week. He's just better. My favorite thing about the whole "update" segment he did, as well as having a Jew and Muslim sitting next to each other during the discussion, was he didn't try and pretend this region's problems started with Carter/Reagan/Clinton/Bush/Biden or whatever. It's been a clusterfuck for 4000 years. Anyway, since the WDT is dog-related, but I didn't want to rain on that parade, I thought Stewart talking about his rescue dog that died this week was touching, and he ended the show with a nice tribute. I hope everyone saw it.
He’s Chinese. That scene is designed to make you squirm in every way, shape and form. And it does it beautifully.
I'm not a JS fan since even way back in the Dazed and Confused days but saw that clip and it still made me emotional and sorry for his loss.
