this was the analogy I was gonna make but you lend a bit more credibility to it. TM just wants to keep his name in the headlines, and god sells. Especially the "born again" shit. When I had a literary agent and was shopping the manuscript for my brain tumor story, what ultimately made me decide "fuck it, this is sitting on my shelf, I'm burnt out" is when they kept pushing for it to be a coming to religion thing. And if there was going to be a religious aspect to it that I was gonna tell, it was actually that this specific moment in my life is what turned me into an atheist. But I left that out, out of respect to everyone who was sending prayers and thots and shit my way. Fuck everyone who uses religion to sell or keep them relevant or otherwise as a means to an end. It does a lot of great things for a lot of people, but it's also transparent as fuck when you don't give a shit about it.
Yeah, I’m a Christian, and Tucker’s just trying to stay relevant. His activity on the boards over the years showed he had a conservative lean to him, so now he’s swinging harder that way because he sees the profit in it. But also, as the Book says, it’s not my place to judge him, so I don’t give him much thought aside from what is posted about him here or the occasional email from his mailing list I’m too lazy to unsubscribe from.
