Unless they do a Tox screen to see if the reason you feel like shit is because you're on a come down - they won't find indication of drug use while they screen for mono. Different tests. Assuming that you're talking about dexamphetamines or ritalin as the study drug - 72 hours and you're 99.99% certain to test clean on a drug test. They don't have a terribly long detectable half life for blood or urine testing. If they test say your hair or fingernails for some reason (which is wildly unlikely testing for Mono) - then they might find something.
Any suggestions on where to go to get a laptop on the cheap? I'm looking for a decent* one that's roughly around $400 (or less). *Decent meaning that it's fast and has wireless capability. I basically only want to use it to take advantage of my University's wireless network around campus and to type papers on in the library. I'd like it if it had enough storage for .mp3s, but that's just gravy at this point.
I'm no law man. But i would totally step on that. Get a lawyer. Sue the shit out of them. Make lots of money. Buy me something nice for pointing you in the right direction.
Funny thing, we have a "Tech Forum", and it's got a "Laptop" thread in there. Almost seems like that would be the proper place to go ask this kind of question. But then again, I could be wrong... it's been known to happen every now and again.
Go to newegg.com and pick up a netbook. The Asus Eee pc line is pretty solid, I have a linux version and a windows version. Download OpenOffice (MSOffice clone, fully compatible) at openoffice.org They have software for both OSs. You should be able to pick one up for just a shade over $200 easily.
I want to get the droid phone (to replace the phone I murdered on Friday), any opinions? Verizon is pretty much a must.
I guarantee you taking this company to court will be more trouble than it's worth. But, for what it's worth... As you've described it, it sounds like what they're doing is technically illegal. They are not allowed to use your image for commercial benefit without your consent. Do a Wikipedia search for Publicity Rights to get more in-depth info. Keep in mind that the exact statute will vary by state, and I have no idea off the top of my head what the law for Georgia is. You could send them a cease and desist, and that might work, but they also might have the right to use your image. Where were the pictures/video taken? Was it at some sort of sponsored event or tournament? You may have already waived your rights for whatever images were taken at the event.
Reverse Phone Look Up I'm looking to be able to reverse phone search a few cell phone numbers in order to find the owner's name. I've used reversephonedetective.com in the past, but the paid yearly membership doesn't really net me anything effective. Almost every time I enter a number to look up it tells me the information isn't available in the database but can be found with a 'tracer report' for $9.95 (or 10 for $75!). The tracer reports are effective, and I get the information I'm looking for, but I'm wondering if someone can point me to a site that isn't a scam and may either be cheaper or free. Free obviously being way cooler.
Vacation book recommendations I'm going on vacation after Christmas and will be spending a significant amount of time in transit so I need some good reading material. I'm looking for light reading, which for me is usually action/adventure-type books along the lines of Clancy or WEB Griffin. Does anyone have any good recommendations? Thanks
Re: Vacation book recommendations I'd highly recommend anything by Bill Bryson. Not action/adventure, but if you're willing to step outside of that, it's great light reading. Some things to look for are I'm a Stranger Here Myself, In a Sunburned Country, or A Walk in the Woods. My favorite was A Short History of Nearly Everything where he describes everything from the big bang to modern humans in layman's terms with some seriously cool comparisons and outlooks.
Any statistics geniuses on here? I need to do a t-test thing based on some class data, would love to have a bit of help to get it over with as soon as possible.
I have a shih-tzu a little over a year old that has decided that the new quilt rack I bought for my wife is a chew toy. She has plenty of toys but apparently is got it stuck into her head that this is hers. She doesn't chew at any other furniture and I have no idea why she is doing this, anything similar happen to anyone else?
Get her something else, like a rawhide, to chew on. Also, spray the quilt rack with a mild solution of water and bitters. It'll stop it from chewing. Worked for my 2 Golden Retrievers.
Whenever you catch her chewing on the rack, tell her no (or 'ah ah') and give her one of her own toys. When she starts chewing on her toy, praise her and maybe give her a treat. Make sure you keep her toys away from the rack and don't let her play near it, or she'll think it's okay to pick it up. Also if you look up the 'leave it' command on the internet, that one works really well for keeping your dogs from chewing on stuff they're not supposed to. Also don't give her a ton of toys or she'll get confused as to what's hers. Limit her to maybe four or five and see if that doesn't help too.
Try Bitter Apple (available at any pet store). If the dog moves on to harder surfaces (like molding as my mini schnauzer did) use habanero sauce. Cured that shit instantly.
I'm heading to Daytona for the better part of January, and if I use my iPhone down there, the international data/roaming charges will bankrupt me. Anyone know if there's some way for me to get a 1-month local iPhone plan that I could use while I'm down there? (What can I say, I'm cell phone illiterate).
A big part of my job is compiling case files from various scanned images, downloaded PDF files, and printed webpages. All this information is printed into a hard copy and sorted/stored that way. I’m trying to find software that will do this without having to print everything out. The best example I can think of is Powerpoint. One file can contain numerous pages that can be sorted and put into whatever order is necessary. Does anyone know of any software like this?
