Re: Men and their toys my friend just bought her boyfriend a bike lift. Basically it's just like a little stand that holds the bike up so he can work on it. It sounds like your boyfriend does a quite a bit of riding and this would make maintenance on the bike a lot easier. Other than that think about getting him some stuff maybe for the rides like a biker care package. You could put stuff like gatorade packets, maybe some bike books, some protein bars, maybe some gloves, etc. in the package and it would make for a pretty cool gift.
I want to spend some of my Christmas cash, and I need a new multitool. I used to have a Leatherman Wave, which I liked, except that the blade got REALLY nicked REALLY quickly. Any suggestions for better ones? I like having the blade on the outside, altho that isn't a dealbreaker. My budget limit is about $100. Thanks in advance!

CatID=1500</a> The one above looks pretty damn nice to me. I prefer the h502 because i'm more of a knife man myself. I prefer a larger blade with minimal accessories. But if that's not what you're looking for they have a healthy supply of other multi-tools including other companies than just leatherman. Not sure the protocol on ordering military/police grade but anytime i've talked to them they've been pretty helpful, so help might just be a phonecall away for that. Also with your other leatherman, do you have a grinder or know anyone who does? A lot of the people I know who deer hunt have had to grind their blades frequently to keep them sharp enough to break into the hide. You could try and grind the nicks out and have a tool to keep in your truck or desk or something? just my $0.02
Just bought one of these for my Dad as a Christmas gift. It's definitely solid, and the power assist blades are a nice touch. It also comes in a black oxide finish that looks really good (though, if you're working in the woods it would be damn impossible to find if you dropped it in the dark).
One of my dogs is a lab/Newfie/Sasquatch or something. He has super webbed feet, and fur grows wild between his toes and the pads of his paws. It's causing pretty bad ice balling on our walks...he turns lame about 1.5 hours in. I've been told I need to trim the fur in his paws. Can anybody recommend a good trimmer or clipper or something for this purpose? It would have to get into tight areas, and ideally not hurt (his feet are sensitive). Thanks.
Go to a barber supply shop and get a small electric Wahl clipper. They are solid machines and cut cleanly. They don't catch and grab like the cheap "fancy" shit they sell these days. We used one on our two golden retrievers for the same thing. Added bonus is you can trim your pussy with it as well. Assuming you HAVE a cat, that is.
I have a Logitech surround sound 5.1 system. The goal is to have a set of wires that will let me plug in an ipod (regular audio cable) and have it run into the Surround panel for the output. The problem is that because the system is designed for PC's it has 3 RCA inputs. (left, center, right). I've seen an 1-2 audio/red/white cable before, but never a 1-3 one. Can anyone help me with a lead for a wire that could work?? I know I can use just one RCA but that would leave out a big part of the surround sound.. and kinda defeat the purpose.
I don't think you understand how surround sound works. Your iPod will not be able to produce the proper 5.1 surround sound outputs required to properly drive the speakers. It only has 2 channels, left and right, which is why it only has 2 cables. In order to create any kind of "fake" 5.1 signal that 2-channel will have to be manipulated in some manner to generate the 5.1. Best bet is to have it run into the PC, and have it do the conversion into 5.1 that will then drive the various speaker channels.
I'm looking for a surround sound system. My budget is $500 and I have 52" Sharp TV. The room is 15 x 15 feet and kinda cramped. What am I looking for here?
Looking to raise between 750-1M in capital for a proven business plan that's already been proven through my parent corporation. Anyone have any experience raising private capital or recommend any books? Prefer loans rather than equity but am willing to entertain all options
You can just buy doggie booties for walking in the snow. My friends lab's paws get all cut up by the ice so he just wears the boots when they go for a walk. They look stupid, but they come with an upside when your dog tries to step out of the boot with every step - it looks hilarious. Humiliate your dog for your entertainment
I'm posting this in the "Drugs" thread too, cause I'm not sure where I'll get the best results. I need to re-attach the base of my bong. It was apparently glued on and it came off while I was rinsing it out the other day. Both pieces are glass. The adhesive should have a decent temperature range- I use pretty hot water when I'm cleaning it and I usually stick it in the freezer for a few hours before I use it for extra awesomeness.
Can anyone recommend some FREE software that will help me to rip a bunch of home movies my dad converted from VHS onto my hard drive? Time to go nuts posting old videos on Facebook.
I have this set in my room, the Logitech Z-5500. It works really well and puts out some damn decent sound for it's price of around $400. edit: Forgot to mention: Has optical input, digital coax and the regular 6-channel input. So if you don't have any of those on your computer/system/whatever, this probably isn't the best choice.
I just got myself a Yamaha RX-V565. I have a buddy that works at a home theater store, so I got it at cost, but it's worth the mark up anyway. Great sound quality, the ability to control your tv/blu-ray, etc through the receiver remote via HDMI, great settings and programmable single button features, Bluetooth compatible, iPod dock compatible. And I don't know if this is common now or what, but it's got a little calibration mike you can connect and the receiver will automatically adjust the speaker output levels to focus on the point in the room that you set the mike.
I've been looking everywhere this morning for that Harry Caray clip when he fails to pronounce Hideki Irabu's name. Does anybody have an appropriate link for that clip?
Hey. Can anyone recommend any girly cocktails that taste good and don´t have much of a taste of alcohol to them and don´t have much sugar or syrups or anything in them. The thing is that I´m going out with a girl who dislikes the taste of alcohol and is a type 1 diabetic... Any help would be appreciated.
Considering alcohol is converted to sugar, your diabetic girl shouldn't be drinking if she's concerned about her blood sugar. Sugar water with an insulin chaser.
It will probably be a diet coke for her again but she said she wanted to try something just for tonight so pretty much what would do the least damage? I don´t think she would have more than one anyway as she is that worried about it.
If i remember correctly from my ex that was an insulin dependent diabetic, the best ones were Tequila or Vodka.
